Maharashtra Transport Department Launches 24x7 Helpline

Mumbai, India, July, 2017 -- The state transport department launched a 24x7 helpline—62426666—for any RTO-related query in Mumbai.

Regional transport officer Govind Saindane said, "It is a citizen-friendly call centre, where people can ask questions pertaining to online applications for learner or permanent driving licence, online permits, new car registrations or any other RTO-related information."

Citizens welcomed the move saying applicants for driving licence or permits face problems completing the application process online.
