Cognizant Named to HfS Research “2016 Premier League for Autonomics”

Teaneck, NJ February 8, 2016 -- Cognizant has been named among the top companies paving the way in the autonomics market by HfS Research, an independent global analyst firm for the business and IT services industry.

HfS describes autonomics as "a diverse set of systems in the context of service delivery around the following key concepts: cognitive computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Key characteristics are self-learning and self-remediating systems."

In its report, the "2016 Premier League for Autonomics", Cognizant ranks No. 4 among 22 companies identified by HfS as leaders in the developing market of business autonomics and cognitive computing. These IT and business process service providers were evaluated on six criteria:

- Vision and credibility of autonomics strategy
- Breadth and maturity of internal tools and external partnerships for autonomics
- Scale of deployments
- Institutionalization
- Commercial traction
- Effectiveness of marketing effort behind Autonomics strategy

Cognizant was recognized for strong thought leadership on autonomics, and for its proprietary autonomics platform, HPA, which differentiates its offering from others in the market. HPA incorporates process automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning into business process automation as-a-service.
