Wipro Wins the ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance
Wipro has been conferred with this award for its capabilities, growth, performance, governance ethos, approach towards CSR and sustainable development, and future strategy.
The jury for the awards was headed by former Chief Justice of India Justice M N Venkatachaliah. The awardee is selected post a rigorous and comprehensive process that evaluates several parameters including Board Structure and Process, Transparency and Disclosure Compliances, Stakeholder Value Enhancement, CSR and Sustainability.
TK Kurien, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board, Wipro Limited said, "Strong and transparent corporate governance practices are an integral part of our culture and align with the best interests of all our stakeholders. We are immensely proud of this honor and this recognition encourages us to raise the bar further."
This award was instituted by ICSI in 2001 to identify, foster and reward companies with the best governance practises.
