August 3, 2010 -- Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS) has been named EMEA distributor of the year for 2010 by ShoreTel. The award, which was announced at ShoreTel’s recent partner conference in San Diego, recognised the VAD for its recruitment of new partners, marketing excellence and support for business partners and VARs.

John Howard, managing director at ShoreTel in EMEA, said: "Avnet has had a fantastic 12 months with ShoreTel bringing on a significant number of new partners and allowing ShoreTel to further develop both its SMB and enterprise business."

ShoreTel’s business communications system delivers voice, unified communications (UC) and contact centre capabilities to enterprises of all sizes. Avnet has been instrumental in recruiting several large business partners in the past year including Vodafone.
