Cherry St. Mission Offering Call Center Classes to Public
Toledo, OH, USA, Dec 26, 2017 -- For those looking to get back on their feet, a local shelter is offering a solution: vocational classes.
Cherry Street Mission Ministries will have 15 people graduate from their call center class.
Students come in as guests from Cherry Street or from agencies across the area.
It's a 12 week program ran through Northwest State Community College.
Students focus on financial and personal education along with professional and customer service training.
After passing the class, they can work in call centers across the city.
"Those vocational programs that we have here really are a way for an individual to step into a sustainable career, a sustainable home, and a better life all together," said Max Lambdin Vice President of Cherry Street Mission Ministries Mission Advancement.
This was the third graduating class since 2016.
The classes will start back up in January and February.
An informational meeting will be held January 2nd.
