Bengaluru, India, Dec 15, 2015 -- To strengthen security facilities for women passengers and other security-related problems, the Railways has provided toll-free security helpline number ‘182’.
Passengers can call the helpline number and bring to the notice of the Railway Protection Force, incidences such as theft of luggage, crime against lady passengers, murder, dacoity, robbery, hooliganism, besides accidents, run-over cases, misbehaviour with passengers, abandoned luggage, fire hazards, child/female trafficking, and smoking and consuming alcohol in trains and at stations, said a release from South Western Railways.
