If your company is interested in deploying workforce management I would start with understanding your business. The key to really understanding how to effectively implement workforce management comes through understanding your business processes. What we often see is that people tend to look for the software first, and they are more focused on features and not necessarily how a particular feature is going to impact their environment. You really need to understand what your cultural strengths are in terms of the applications, in order to adopt that feature into your environment successfully. The other thing that I strongly recommend is that people think about workforce management as a business philosophy and not just about the software. The software is really a tool that is there as a decision support mechanism in order to facilitate the workforce management philosophy. People tend to fall down when they buy software; they implement it, they train a few people on the software, and then if one of those people leaves the organization then the whole workforce management philosophy goes out the window.
