AdGeo – An Overview
AdGeo provides solutions for commercial enterprises, government entities and non-profit organizations featuring toll free calling plans and interactive voice response systems to connect customers anywhere in North America with geographically dispersed locations. Their solutions feature integrated interactive voice response systems, with multilingual interfaces, voice recognition, text to speech, and unified messaging.
A key component of AdGeo's value-added services is the use of sophisticated geospatial information systems to develop and maintain customized georouting requirements. This provides power and flexibility to route calls in real time based upon caller and location proximity, time of day/day of week, caller input, historical routing, or other data-based decisions that are defined to fit client requirements.
AdGeo also offers SmartWEBreports™ that mine and exploit the call data in unique and powerful ways and fills an exclusive niche that can help clients reach new customers, generate meaningful ROI metrics, and keep up with the latest in telecommunications technology.
AdGeo addresses the problem to appropriately route calls for geographically dispersed operations, in a way that both connects callers to the correct location, and also maximizes inter-state call plan rates. A second goal is to provide a single source for call information and reporting, enabling a nationwide client to easily access their call statistics, presented in a way that reflects their relevant business goals.
Competing primarily with the big carriers, AdGeo’s main advantage is the degree of customization they can provide. The ability to route calls using geographic caller data combined with individual customer information (e.g. office addresses, franchise boundaries), along with providing caller statistics that are formatted specifically to the customer’s requirements, adds value and are unique features, as the larger carriers cannot follow suit.
However, this high degree of customization means that rapid and easy development is of vital importance to AdGeo. Their clients range from national tax, financial or even plumbing services, to state government public safety and information services. This diversity is where VBVoice’s rapid-development environment and excellent support give AdGeo an extra edge. Faced with new and/or changing requirements for each new client, this flexibility is a must.
AdGeo chose VBVoice, and has been pleased with its performance from the beginning:
"We chose VBVoice as a result of its familiar Visual Basic coding environment and its rapid-development capabilities. This ramatically shortened the learning curve and enabled our in-house developers to get going quickly. Our first application was developed in less than two weeks", explained Dave Gruenbacher, VP Operations for AdGeo.
In 2002, when AdGeo (then known as Global Routing Technologies) needed a voice development toolkit, they wanted to leverage their existing expertise in VisualBasic. They decided that VBVoice fit their needs best, and have stayed with it since. With its flexible architecture and familiar Visual Basic environment, VBVoice allowed AdGeo’s existing development team to easily adjust and customize applications, as well as rapidly create new ones.
Mr. Gruenbacher comments: "VBVoice has given AdGeo a definite advantage in our marketplace. The Pronexus toolkit allows us to effectively develop tailored solutions for our customers, something they cannot get from larger service providers."
