United Kingdom - October 5, 2007 - Dave Vernon, whose AA team recently won the Contact Centre Resource Planning Innovation Award 2007, has joined the Professional Planning Forum as Senior Contact Centre Planning Specialist. Recently responsible for delivering a £12m saving at the AA, while improving revenue and service, Dave will add his considerable experience and achievements to the Forum team.
Working for organisations such as NTL, Barclaycard and HBOS, Dave picked up a wealth of experience in both inbound and outbound centres, including Real-time, intraday and service delivery, before moving to the AA as National Planning Manager for the Breakdown side of the business. He was responsible for top level budgets, forecasting, scheduling, real-time performance and MI at two sites totalling approx 800 FTE with a further 250 FTE in the teleworking environment. During this time, he drove a highly successful rationalisation and revenue increase programme (Project Sakura) across the AA, whilst improving output and service to operation, and accelerating the use of Teleworkers from 150 to 240 FTE making the AA a large Teleworker employer in UK.
“Dave will bring a proven track record and further depth of experience to the Forum”, explained Steve Woosey, Membership Director of the Professional Planning Forum. “We are delighted that he will be able to share his first hand experience of successful implementations of flexible working, significant cost reductions and home working, amongst others with our members”.
In addition to sharing Best Practice, and taking an active part in the delivery of the professional development and training programme, Dave will be spear-heading the development of the Forum’s Outbound agenda with a major event in February. This, follows a highly successful MI and BO event, and is part of the Professional Planning Forum’s agenda to broaden the remit of planners and enable them to make a more strategic contribution across the wider organisation. |
