Dennis M. Dougherty and Visual Electronics LTD are linked in the minds of the firm's clients and that is just fine with Dougherty. He created the fledgling company in 1979 and nurtured it into what it has become today, the multi-million dollar supplier of DIGITAL-FAX machines.
A varied business background in sales and electronics gave Dougherty the experience he needed to compete in a growing industry. Beginning in Omaha, Nebraska with Business Service and Equipment Company, he coordinated the outside sales team for independent dealers and trained the dealer sales people.
He went on to become Regional Sales Manager for Sharp Electronics, Paramus, New Jersey. There he learned the computer and calculator industry as he coordinated and supervised a six-state region.
Dougherty founded Visual Electronics LTD and helped the firm evolve from selling programmable display boards in its early years to pioneering the DIGITAL FAX SYSTEMS. Major corporations use these sophisticated wall boards in a variety of industries for internal and external networked communications, primarily in the Call Center industry.
Dougherty attended Omaha University where he majored in Business Administration and is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Sales Course. He served in the United States Army as a Crew Chief and Door Gunner in Vietnam.
Both Dougherty and the company are active in the community with the National Sports Center for the Disabled, Colorado AIDS Project and the Muscular Dystrophy Association Labor Day Telethon.
