Admission Test Results Today, IIMs Offer Free Helplines

Jan 11, 2012 -- Thirteen IIMs and around 150 other institutes have already started free helpline numbers in the wake of Common Admission Test (CAT) results to be announced on Wednesday.

The results can be checked at the website. Last year, the website where results were declared had crashed within three hours of the announcement.

Chandigarh-based Aryans Business School has started free helplines for CAT Aspirants on which students would get the result on Wednesday. Aspirants can call from 9 am to 4 pm and can get the result. This would be beneficial for those students who don’t have internet access or have connectivity problems. Students will have to keep CAT Registration Numbers ready before calling these numbers.

CAT was conducted in a 20-day window between October 20 and November 18 last year in 68 test centres across 36 cities. There were two centres in the Tricity, one each in Panchkula and Mohali. Around 8,000 candidates are expected to have appeared at these two centres. With two new centres introduced this time in the region, Jammu and Kashmir and Dehradun, the number of candidates in the Tricity was lower than in previous years.
