Alteva Announces Cuthbert New CEO

PHILADELPHIA, PA – August 31, 2010 – Alteva, a Unified Communications (UC) solution provider, headquartered today announced the appointment of David Cuthbert as CEO. With over twelve years of operational management and leadership experience, Cuthbert’s focus will be leading Alteva through its industry leading growth. Cuthbert joined Alteva in 2006 as the COO and has developed scalable processes through automation and employee development. The Founder of Alteva, Chairman and former CEO, William Bumbernick, will focus on the innovative direction of the company as Chief Innovation Officer.

"Mr. Cuthbert is really the right choice to manage and lead Alteva to the next level," Bumbernick says. "His leadership style combined with his knowledge and acumen of our industry will ensure both his success and that of our company."

Cuthbert is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former Naval Special Operations Officer. In this capacity he led underwater and land bomb disposal teams domestically and abroad. In 2003, he was assigned the leadership responsibility of the Navy’s leading nuclear weapon casualty response detachment. His leadership, process innovation, and mission accomplishment earned him several high level unit and individual awards. He is considered an expert in critical process development and management.

"Alteva’s tremendous growth is primarily due to our ability to stay two steps ahead of the competition," said Bumbernick. "My passion has always been our technology, innovation and the future. David is ideally suited for the role of CEO. As a former Navy Special Operations Officer, he runs a tight ship, which enables me to think about the future."

"Bill is one of the true industry pioneers. A true technical genius when it comes to innovating what’s next for Alteva and we want to keep him doing the things that he enjoys and that continue to separate us in the industry," said Cuthbert. "This decision was a strategic move for our company that will keep us on top of our industry."

Rapidly evolving into the leading hosted IP communications company in the country, under Bumbernick, Alteva has averaged growth over the last three years of 66% and this year's sales at mid-year are already 45% higher than in 2008 while its larger competitors are reporting revenue declines
