PHILADELPHIA, PA – December 13, 2010 – Alteva, a Unified Communications (UC) solution provider headquartered in Philadelphia, today announced the addition of Local Anywhere to its extensive line of hosted services. Local Anywhere assigns multiple DIDs to one Voice over IP (VoIP) desk phone.
Setting up this solution through a hosted phone service provider, such as Alteva, allows the company to have an inbound notification that alerts employees as to which DID – or phone number – the call is coming in through, allowing the user to personalize their response. Outbound caller IDs are associated with the appropriate phone number to reflect that person or company name, making it less likely for call recipients to ignore calls. This unique solution will appeal to several types of companies, to which the nature of their businesses requires this type of solution, not typically available in a hosted VoIP solution.
"Implementing cutting edge solutions to maximize efficiency and provide a higher level of customer service is what is going to make an organization stand out amongst the competition," said William Bumbernick, chief innovation officer at Alteva. "By offering multiple DIDs though a hosted solution, privately labeled companies can now enhance customer service by giving employees a much better chance to personalize their service to the caller. In today’s economy, anything you have that makes you more efficient makes you the better business."
Abigail Michaels offers traditional hotel concierge style services to luxury condos and residential buildings nationwide. With twelve locations, as well as five privately labeled concierge contracts that it services, they wanted to switch to a hosted VoIP solution, but needed a phone system that would let employees know how to answer the phone when clients call in to one of its many properties, and be able to select an outbound line associated with each of these properties. "With a traditional phone system, we could have a different phone line designated for each of the companies we represent on one desk phone, but that was not an existing feature in a hosted VoIP solution," said Greg Flood, Director of Strategy & Operations at Abigail Michaels Concierge. "Other hosted VoIP companies were not able to provide this option to us, so we were thrilled when Alteva told us about Local Anywhere. This solution is ideal for our needs. It has enabled us to provide better service to our customers, while leveraging our skill sets across multiple customers."
"One of the differentiators that Alteva provides over traditional telecom service providers is that they offer solution sales, not just out-of-the-box commodity services," states Rob Molinaro, vice president at Chorus Communications, the consultant that introduced Local Anywhere to Abigail Michaels. "Their ability to build custom solutions around specific business practices creates value for our customers, and value for us as consultants."
Additional benefits of Local Anywhere include:
- Ability to setup local lines that are rerouted to a main site.
- HD phones with exceptional call quality on the leading VoIP platform in the industry; virtually eliminates dropped calls, static or missed calls.
- Reduce desk and office clutter; no need for individual modems, internet cables and power chords; direct connection from your phone to computer.
- Monthly savings over dated phone systems; ROI within first 12 months.
