Dyno-Rod Fits Microsoft CRM Throughout Business

System will be available to 1,000 engineers

20 August 10 -- Dyno-Rod is rolling out on-demand access across its business to Microsoft customer relationship management software.

The company, which unblocks drains and offers plumbing and locksmith services, is rolling out the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system, in the form of software as a service, across its business by region. Supplier SecureVirtual is managing the implementation.

Dyno-Rod, owned by British Gas, said it had been using an older, undisclosed legacy system that had been developed as the business grew but was no longer suitable.

British Gas-Accenture court showdown predictedIt first trialled the system two years ago, and to date 240 employees are using the system. But in April it began a one-year rollout to the one thousand engineers working across the company. The system will be available to engineers on smart phones and other on-the-road devices.

Dyno-Rod said the new system can be tailored by staff to suit their preferences, and is able to accommodate the wide variety of jobs placed. It was also cutting the time needed for administrative tasks.

Using the CRM system, engineers and support staff can track jobs and see customer details, and office staff can process orders and invoices. The system connects with British Gas’ core customer system, with data being transferred to British Gas’ systems overnight.
