Fonality Unveils New Features for its Cloud Communications IP PBX and VoIP

Innovative features mobilise the workforce, provide cost controls and boost call centre efficiencies for businesses

Sydney — August 25, 2010 — Fonality, Inc. (www.fonality.com.au), a provider of cloud-based business phone and unified communication solutions, today announced new product and software enhancements to its line of IP telephony solutions. Available for businesses of all sizes, Fonality provides a business phone system that is flexible, easy to install, manage, and dramatically reduces costs and increases productivity for companies.

Fonality’s cloud-based solutions include Fonality Connect, Fonality Professional and Fonality Enterprise. Each solution takes advantage of Fonality’s latest software release, version 2010.1. This release allows businesses with call centres to optimise the caller experience across multiple locations, ensuring local and remote supervisors and agents have full access to Fonality’s features. A new time zone capability dynamically ensures user data is accurate to local time zones, eliminating confusion while simplifying record keeping.

Additionally, 2010.1 supports toll restriction, which gives businesses more control over monthly telephone service expenditures by allowing administrators to limit calling rights to employees.

HUD, Fonality’s unified communications suite, merges all communications into one, easy-to-use dashboard for the Mac or PC. With the new release, HUD allows multiple sites to act as one: employees in multiple locations can see the status of their colleagues, chat with associates, transfer calls or start an instant conference. Employees, regardless of location, can easily find one another by searching by name or role, encouraging communication across departments and locations.

"Business owners, from start-ups to enterprises, desire effective, affordable, no-hassle solutions for their employees’ communications needs," said Dean Mansfield, CEO of Fonality. "Fonality’s latest cloud communications release offers powerful features and helps businesses control phone system costs."

The new release also adds functionality designed to save businesses money on their communications costs. Now, a user-based licensing model enables features to be added per employee, saving businesses countless dollars by charging for only the necessary features.

Products and Technology
Fonality’s cloud-based business communications solutions replace traditional phone systems and add advanced functionality, including conference bridges, unified messaging, chat, voicemail and email, presence management, contact center applications and integration with products, such as Microsoft Outlook, Google, Salesforce and SugarCRM. Fonality’s patented technology also provides automated system monitoring, configuration backups, rock-solid connectivity, simplified multi-location networking and complete data privacy over the cloud.

Fonality solutions are available in three platforms:
Fonality Connect is an all-inclusive solution that includes powerful business features: a phone for every employee, a number for each phone, unlimited calling between 10 countries and competitive global rates and telephone support. Ideal for offices with 2-25 employees, Fonality Connect comes in two editions with varying feature sets: Standard or Team. Companies can also select add-on modules, including Call Centre packages, CRM integration, a Mobility package, paperless fax, toll free numbers, virtual conference rooms, premium desk, wireless and conferencing phone.

Fonality Professional and Fonality Enterprise offer additional benefits such as advanced CRM integration, dedicated hosting, on-site data backups and redundancy, a wider selection of phones and calling plans, local toll connectivity and premium support.
