High Bandwidth Connectivity 'Allows Firms to Set Up Call Centres'

September 7, 2010 -- The growing availability of technology means that it can be easy for companies with high bandwidth connectivity to set up an in-house call centre, it has been claimed.

Boosh News has reported that the launch of ten gigabit wireless connections will make this option even more affordable for UK businesses.

It suggested that the growth of this type of high bandwidth connectivity will also lead to a hike in the number of companies exploring the benefits that audio and video content applications can confer.

As well as call centres, companies are likely to be able to deploy video conferencing, interactive voice response servers and media gateways, it claimed.

The website added: "Good ol' edge card-based computing solutions offer a high degree of system scalability and flexibility at very attractive price points."

Desmond Toh, marketing director at network infrastructure provider DLink, recently told Computerworld that having access to high bandwidth connectivity could also allow companies to access Web 2.0 apps.
