Hindjua Global Solutions Launches Second Global Centre in WB

CHENNAI, August  2010 -- BPO firm Hinduja Global Solutions, part of diversified Hinduja Group, today opened its second global delivery centre at Durgapur in West Bengal.

This was its 30th global delivery centre worldwide, the city-based company said in a statement here.

The centre would primarily cater to expansion in the telecon customer contact centre operations. The centre spread across 8,500 square feet has 220 seats and uses hi-tech electronic facilities, it said.

The first facility at Durgapur employees about 1,700 local employees, it said.

"With India firmly out of the global financial crisis, most of the domestic sectors are witnessing accelerated growth and increased demand. Hinduja Global Solutions is focusing on building cost-effective offerings," it said.

Besides the opening of its second centre, the company had also opened its marketing office for handling its distribution business in North India.

"Durgapur has provided us multiple advantages in terms of access to good talent, cost arbitrage and considerably lower levels of attrition. This new centre would enable us to take care of increased domestic business demands. I am sure both the centres would witness continued growth and sustained excellence," Hinduja Global Solutions CEO Partha De Sarkar said.
