News : Home Depot Bringing Nearly 700 New Jobs to Ogden
OGDEN, Utah, Oct 13, 2011 -- Home Depot announced that the company will open a new call and on line support center in Ogden next year that will bring nearly 700 new jobs to the Wasatch Front.
The on line call center will server homedepot online, a subsidiary of Home Depot stores.
Ogden city leaders expressed excitement of the news.
Construction of the site should be completed in Spring of 2012, with hiring over the summer.
Home Depot's plan is to start taking calls Fall of 2012 and to be fully operational by end of 2012.
According to Home Depot, most of the positions will be full-time customer service jobs.
Home Depot said they chose Ogden because Utah offers an excellent base for recruitment.
They also said the Mountain Time Zone was considered to be beneficial.
The site of the new building complex was not immediately released.
Home Depot has 22 stores in Utah.
