Micro Focus Strengthens Relationship with SDL

Maidenhead, U.K. - 26th July 2010 - SDL, the provider of Global Information Management solutions is pleased to announce that Micro Focus, a provider of Enterprise Application Modernization, Testing and Management solutions, has extended its relationship with SDL by adding language services to its existing SDL solutions for web and component content management.

Micro Focus adopted SDL’s technology and language services to deliver high-quality global content across its product and technical document portfolio, supporting its 18,000 worldwide customers and helping to drive its corporate global expansion initiatives.

The appointment of SDL as a strategic content solutions partner follows Micro Focus’ adoption of SDL Trisoft™ for XML component content management, SDL Tridion(R) for managing web content and the use of SDL Passolo(R) for facilitating software localization. By introducing SDL’s language services to its Global Information Management strategy, Micro Focus will streamline the creation of content for International audiences by integrating source creation, translation and publishing workflows.

SDL was chosen for its proven ability to deliver integrated technology and consultative services to drive revenue and maximize efficiency in global content creation.

"Choosing a solutions partner was not something that we took lightly. Delivering accurate and timely information to our customers is a business priority for Micro Focus. The localization process needs to integrate with our XML authoring, web publishing and product development processes. SDL proved it has the end-to-end solution for Global Information Management that we were looking for with its translation services providing added value to the technology platform," said Chris Hadley, User Information Manager at Micro Focus.

Dominic Kinnon, VP Solutions at SDL commented, "I’m delighted that we have been able to meet Micro Focus’ expectations for product and document localization. It’s exciting to be extending our relationships with Micro Focus and helping them drive forward their strategy for creating, managing and publishing global content."
