SHILLONG, Feb 22 -- In a first in the North East, Opposition NCP in Meghalaya today opened a ‘Call Centre’ for people to field questions on a variety of issues which they want the government to answer.
"Ahead of the Budget session of the Assembly, we have opened up a people’s call-centre which will receive questions from citizens on all issues they feel the government should answer," Leader of Opposition, Conrad K Sangma told reporters.
He said it was the idea of one of his Facebook friends to have a call centre of the party so that it could reach out in a better way ahead of the Budget session and the Assembly election scheduled early next year.
The Budget session is scheduled from March 9-23.
The ‘Call Centre’ will be handled by professionals, Conrad, the son of former Lok Sabha Speaker Purno A Sangma, said
