NextiraOne Strengthens UK Team to Address Key Markets

Lichfield, 26 April, 2011 -- NextiraOne, Europe’s provider in communications services, has made a number of new appointments as it gears up for the ongoing changes in the ICT market. The new appointments reflect the company’s focus on its core areas of expertise in Contact Centre, Data Centre and Unified Communications & Collaboration solutions for its wide range of public and private sector customers.

Shirley Hemstock joins the Technology and Solutions team in the role of Business Practice Leader - Collaboration & Customer Interaction (CCI). Shirley comes with a wealth of experience in Unified Communications, having worked at Siemens and Avaya, managing solution architects and business consultants.

Also joining the Technology and Solutions team is Jason Brown who takes on the role of Unified Communications Business Consultant reporting directly to Shirley Hemstock. Jason joins NextiraOne with considerable experience in Cisco Unified Communications, having worked at Logicalis and Affiniti in the roles of Solution Architect and Solution Consultant.

Internal changes include the appointment of NextiraOne’s Head of Marketing, Christopher Lewis to handle the additional responsibility for Data Centre Business Development. Marketing Communications Manager Jane Selvidge will take over the day-to-day management of the Marketing Communications Team, reporting to Chris who retains overall responsibility for Marketing.

Chris will also work closely with Debbie Starling, who has recently taken on the role of Head of Secure Communications Infrastructure, combining both pre-sales and post-sales in one business area to serve the customer better on an ongoing basis and to unite the company’s expertise in Data Centres and Security into one team.

Further organisational changes include the appointment of Stewart Thorley to the role of Practice Leader – Recurring Business, where he will be responsible for customers who have support and maintenance or managed service contracts. Stewart, whose previous experience within NextiraOne is in building up the Unified Building Services division to a successful and profitable business, will now be able to give a clear and dedicated focus to this important area of business and the vital services the company provides to customers.

The leadership of the Unified Building Services division will be taken over by Peter Smith, who takes on the role of Business Practice Leader and Business Development Manager – Unified Building Services (UBS). Peter, whose previous role was in Public Sector Sales within NextiraOne, will use his knowledge, business and sales skills to build on this already successful and growing area of NextiraOne’s business.

Steven Skakel, General Manager, NextiraOne UK, said: "We have an exceptional team here at NextiraOne and these new appointments and organisational changes will serve to reinforce the immense talent and expertise of each individual by strengthening the teams in which they work and the leadership of these teams. It also reflects the way the company is developing and growing and our increasing focus on customer-centric solutions in Contact Centres, Data Centres and Unified Communications."
