August 2010 -- CONTACT centre systems Lake Corp has appointed Chris Rockell to the new role of Australia-New Zealand operations manager. He will report to Lake founder and chief executive John Latreille.
In a second appointment, Paul Morrissey will fill a new business development role.
Both have impressive backgrounds in the telecommunications and contact centre market. Morrissey was most recently with the Telstra dealership Business Connect, where he was the director of sales and marketing.
Earlier, he spent 10 years with Telstra Business Systems, rising to sales manager running a team of account managers generating $30 million in sales revenue.
Rockell comes from Global Connect, a reseller of Avaya systems, where he was the national support operations manager.
Before that, he spent 10 years in support roles with Aspect Software, a global software and IT services firm represented by Lake in Australia and New Zealand.
Rockell is an accomplished blue water yachtsman and was the mainsheet trimmer aboard AFR Midnight Rambler when it was overall winner of the Sydney to Hobart race in 1998.
Lake supplies, installs and supports leading technology, focusing on voice and multi-media interaction. Products offered include XCalibur Desktop, a complete workstation solution for multi-data sources, XCalibur Connect, a fast to implement and simple to use outbound and inbound system, Aspect Software's Unison predictive dialling system and the Aspect Software Unified IP Customer Interaction Management Platform, which offers multi-media outbound, inbound, blend and next-gen capabilities.
