The call center launched operations on May 16 by taking over the services from Scandinavian countries, and it is planned that the process will conclude at the end of August, when further information will be released to the public. The call center's staff needs to be trained on the laws of the respective countries and of the European Union, as well as be provided with full information about Samsung products, explained Bojare. As reported, Samsung Electronics Baltics President Sangho Jo said in an interview with the business portal "Nozare.lv" this past March that the call center would employ more than 100 people and provide services in the Baltic and Nordic countries, writes LETA. To establish such a center, a multilingual staff is needed, explained Jo. There are many people in Latvia who have good command of several languages – Nordic languages, German, Russian, which makes Latvia the right place for the placement of such a service center. Finally, Latvia has one of the best-developed Internet infrastructures in the world, which is of much importance for the Samsung call center.
