"We would love to benefit from helping some of those folks move over to Telvista," said Telvista spokeswoman Ayn Owens. "We’re always looking for good people." Telvista’s call center in Airside Industrial Park currently has more than 100 positions in customer service and sales that it needs to fill, Owens said. Telvista serves multiple clients and has more than 500 employees. StarTek had been one of Henry County’s largest employers and the layoffs to be completed by July 22 won’t help the region’s double-digit unemployment rate. The closure comes on the heels of news in April that ICF International would build a center to perform phone-based business services in Henry County, adding more than 500 jobs to the region. The workforce centers want to guide workers on what they can be doing now to prepare, including prepping résumés and practicing for interviews. They can also assist with the actual job search and can help with online applications, he said. Posted by Veronica Silva Cusi, news correspondent Related Groups
