News : Tucson Call Center Looking to Hire 200 New Reps

May 10, 2012 -- Convergys Corp. is hiring 200 people for its call center in Tucson and is planning a job fair next week.

Interested candidates are invited to attend an on-site job fair from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 16 at Convergys, 3760 North Commerce Drive, Suite 160.

Candidates are asked to visit www.convergys.com/careers and complete their online application before attending the job fair.

Convergys ranks 51st in the Star 200 survey of the region’s biggest employers, reporting about 900 full-time equivalent employees at the start of the year.

About 140 of the new positions are jobs supporting a healthcare client’s customer service program, the company said. Forty positions will provide customer service support for a client in the cable/satellite industry, and the remaining are seasonal positions in the financial services industry that requires candidates to be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Convergys said it offers employees competitive wages, paid comprehensive training, and benefits including medical and dental insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) savings, and paid and unpaid time off.
