Weatherford Relies on SDL to Meet Key Objectives: Efficiency and Productivity

Colorado, United States - 28th January 2011 - SDL (LSE:SDL), a provider of Global Information Management solutions, today announced that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with Weatherford International, a global provider of innovative products and services that span the drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention cycles of oil and natural gas wells.

SDL’s Language Services
division is managing the localization of Weatherford’s vast product portfolio. With over 53,000 employees worldwide, the company operates in more than 100 countries to include 125 globally distributed manufacturing facilities, supporting 800 service bases and 16 technology development and training facilities. This includes translation and desktop publishing of Weatherford’s marketing, training, technical and non-technical documentation into several languages. Furthermore, SDL has implemented a centralized solution through SDL Translation Management System™, allowing Weatherford to optimize productivity while reducing its overall translation costs to achieve a faster time-to-market through localization efficiency.
