A contact center manager who is looking at technology solutions from a number of different vendors should do their homework and look for a vendor that is going to be able to supply some of the requirements that they have prepared for. It is also important to keep your options open and not get locked into a vendor who will want to try everything. One of the things that we are seeing more and more as the industry is changing is that there is a lot more openness now in the call center business.Doors are opening now so that you can pull and integrate different solutions together much more easily compared to just a couple of years ago. You can now work with one vendor and use their specialty and use another vendor for what they do best, rather then one vendor doing everything and not doing everything very well. -Dudley Larus of Amcat
