XiloCore to Present on Virtual Disaster Recovery (VDR) at DatacenterDynamics Converged in Phoenix - Derek Kol - ContactCenterWorld.com Blog

XiloCore to Present on Virtual Disaster Recovery (VDR) at DatacenterDynamics Converged in Phoenix

TORONTO - April 23rd, 2012 - Asigra Inc., a leading Cloud Backup(tm), Recovery and Restore (BURR) software since 1986 today announced that its partner, XiloCore, the IT channel's preferred provider of data protection and business continuity services for today's small and medium businesses, will present on the advantages of cloud-based Virtual Disaster Recovery (VDR) at DatacenterDynamics Converged in Phoenix, AZ on April 24th. In this presentation, Keizer will review the key deliverables of VDR when deployed to expedite business recovery in the event of a data loss event.

WHO:Lester Keizer, CEO, XiloCore

WHAT:Cloud-Based Virtual Disaster Recovery Presentation

WHEN:Tuesday, April 24th, 2:30 PM MT

WHERE: DatacenterDynamics Converged, Hyatt Phoenix, Phoenix AZ

As IT budgets recover in 2012, a growing number of organizations, including data centers, are engaged in business continuity redesign to enhance uptime. Cloud-based Virtual Disaster Recovery (VDR) is becoming the option of choice for organizations whose business continuity plans call for faster recovery and increased business agility. VDR focuses on backing up virtual machines instead of physical servers, which has traditionally required the re-installation of the operating system and the use of local-client backup applications to recover applications and data. With VDR, recovery is much quicker since there is no need to re-install the operating system and applications on a physical server.

"Studies, and experience, have shown that almost 50% of companies who experience a major data loss event never re-open," said Lester Keizer, CEO, XiloCore. "Virtual Disaster Recovery allows for companies, such as data centers, to have a faster recovery time than traditional backup methods and lower overall operating costs."
