Being a mom can be the most difficult job on the planet. Making sure that you are taken care of so that you can properly take care of your home and your family is not and easy thing to do, especially if you are a single mom with only one income. Having a back up plan if some unforeseen thing was to happen is something everyone should have, but especially moms. The family dynamic is dependent on the mom more than anyone else if you are in a single parent household. There are countless backup plans that mom should know about, choosing which one is right for you is the important part. There are countless different things that you could do, but here is a list of a few things that can help if something does not go as planned.

If you are an artist of some sorts whether its painting, crafts, or any other thing you may consider a hobby you can possibly turn this into a Business. WIth the internet being as popular as it is today, creating a business can be done easily and for free. You can make money selling online without having to pay to make a website or having to pay to open a physical business. You can do this by selling on different social media sites like facebook, instagram, or whatever social media site that you are familiar with. The key to selling online is never be afraid to put yourself out there.

A great online program to look into is the online paralegal certificate. Getting this certificate is great because there are a lot of job opportunities in this field. People are always looking for good paralegals in their law firms and having this certificate is a great back up plan.

There are a lot of work like freelance writing that is available for people who like to work from home. This is great for people who need to earn some extra money and they can do it anytime and any place as long as wife is available. There are other online jobs that are available such as virtual assistants, which allow people to work for others from the comfort of their own home. You can also do customer service jobs, these aren't really online jobs fully, but they are working from home and will allow you to be at home with your kids if that's what you need. Another job that you can do to make some extra money from your phone is to be a secret shopper. It will suggest stores that you can go to and if you go and complete the task they will pay you for your services.


There are countless ways that mom can earn money if they need a backup plan. Thinking outside the box and trying to find creative ways to make money can be helpful if you are just trying to earn some extra money, but looking for certifications that you can get online is probably the best back up plan for moms who have fallen on hard times and need another job fast. The best thing to do is to start on your back up plan while you are in a good situation so that you can use it immediately when you need it.
