Origins The origins - the origin BIRTH OF AN EXCEPTIONAL PRODUCT in 1898, a major milestone was reached with the creation of the first flying mechanical slicer by a young Dutch charcutier, adrianus wilhelmus van Berkel. this machine, with the perfect precision "watchmaker" takes again two simple ideas: a concave blade reproducing with minutia the movement hand-knife and a movable plate moving towards the blade. the product is then mainly intended for professional activities and will generate a great deal of enthusiasm. craze never denied until today. 115 years later, roberto d'archivio and enrico sozzi, two passionate entrepreneurs, take up these ancestral principles of manufacturing and found the company "Tomaga industries", specialized in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-end mechanical trimmers. and high added value.
THE CREATION OF AN EXCEPTIONAL PRODUCT
in 1898, Adrianus Wilhelmus van berkel, a young dutch sausage maker, made a crucial step forward for the industry with the invention of the spinning- bladed meat slicer. regular as a clockwork, this machine combines two fundamental ideas: a concave blade to perfectly reproduce the movement of a slicer’s hand and a mobile tray which slides across the blade. this ingenious system is the model upon which all automatic modern meat-slicers are based. this product was primarily aimed at the professional sector, where it earned great popularity which is still evident today. 115 years later, roberto d’Archivio and enrico sozzi, two passionate entrepreneurs, have learned from the traditional manufacturing method and decided to found the « tomaga industries » company, specialised in designing, making and distributing spinning- bladed meat slicers.
