Mountain View, CA. – June 24, 2011 – Gridstore™, the leader in scale-out NAS solutions for the SMB market, today announced a webinar that will help organizations address the issues of storage sprawl and how scale out NAS solves their storage dilemma. The webinar, titled “NAS in a Box vs. Scale Out NAS for the SMB,” will take place on June 28 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific. Storage Switzerland’s lead analyst, George Crump and Kelly Murphy, CEO, Gridstore, will lead the webinar.

In this webinar, participants will learn how to:

  • Reduce SMB storage costs
  • Increase IT staff efficiency
  • Improve user productivity
  • Provide better data reliability

The first server a small to medium sized business purchases is often one that allows for file sharing and collaboration called network attached storage (NAS). As the business grows and becomes a small to medium sized business (SMB), the first point of storage trouble is often that NAS. It either runs out of capacity; can’t provide enough performance, or both. As a result, the SMB is forced to add NAS after NAS to keep up with these demands, which leads to storage sprawl and management complexity. Crump will explain how storage sprawl places pressure on every aspect of the SMB as the storage line item becomes a larger and larger part of the storage budget.
