LOGiQ3 Protects Critical Data Automatically with e-ternity Cloud Backup Powered by Asigra

Leading Canadian Insurance Company Cuts Backup Administration Time up to 90 Percent

TORONTO – August 31, 2011 – Asigra Inc., a leading Cloud Backup™, recovery and restore (BURR) software provider since 1986, today announced that LOGiQ3, a leading Canadian insurance and reinsurance outsourcing company, is protecting its critical data with Asigra's Cloud Backup solution, delivered by Asigra partner e-ternity Business Continuity Consultants, Inc.

A leading agent of change within the life insurance and reinsurance industry, LOGiQ3, a PROFIT 200 company, is one of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies. LOGiQ3 provides a variety of outsourcing services including reinsurance administration, production underwriting, auditing, consulting and training to companies in North America, Europe and the Caribbean from its offices in Toronto, Canada, and Cardiff, U.K. The company selected cloud backup for its simplicity and ability to cut backup administration time up to 90 percent compared to traditional backup technologies.

Prior to engaging a cloud backup solution, backing up LOGiQ3's distributed computing environment was challenging. The company performed file synchronization of laptop data, requiring users to protect the data on their own laptops. To improve the process, LOGiQ3 built a portal for users to save data in a SharePoint structured environment, but it was not 100 percent effective; manual processes were still required. When users searched the backup data set for specific information, data was often difficult to locate. This indicated that backups using only file synchronization were incomplete. The company looked at on-premise solutions but did not like their heavy backup agents or the fact that they provided file-level rather than block-level data protection and deduplication. Furthermore, LOGiQ3 wanted a backup time of 10 minutes maximum, not the 30 minutes required by on-premise solutions.

LOGiQ3 turned to e-ternity, also a Canadian company, because it offered the best solution for its distributed environment. e-ternity provides monthly managed services that guarantee business continuance to customers and depends on Asigra Cloud Backup as the technology behind its services.

"Protecting the laptop data of our mobile workforce was difficult; we needed a more advanced alternative," said Ian Sanderson, Vice President, Technology at LOGiQ3. "For our company, loss of communications or information assets can result in a loss of credibility which was not an option. e-ternity's cloud backup service provides the highest level of protection, which is critical to our business."

e-ternity cloud backup Powered by Asigra happens quickly and seamlessly, with no user intervention. The solution automatically protects 100 percent of the data across all LOGiQ3  laptops and desktops and select server data. Block-level backup minimizes the time required to capture all recent changes, thereby reducing backup run time and its impact on computing performance.

"Compared to on-premise solutions, Asigra Cloud Backup from e-ternity has cut our backup administration hours by 80 to 90 percent and reduced maintenance and management costs up to 25 percent," said Sanderson. "Plus, we now trust that the recovery of data is assured, allowing us to sleep better at night. Since deploying the solution we've had to do two data restores, one for a stolen laptop and one for a laptop with a crashed disk drive. In both cases, data recovery took only a couple of hours.

"The decentralized model of cloud backup is ideal for a 'road warrior' company like LOGiQ3, where the computing environment is highly distributed," said Greg Onoprijenko, president of e-ternity.  "Our Asigra-based Cloud Backup service provides seamless backup of all data, wherever it is located, with no end-user intervention."

"More and more companies like LOGiQ3, where data is stored in disparate computing environments, are realizing that Asigra Cloud Backup can greatly simplify their backup procedures," said Tracy Staniland, senior director, corporate marketing, Asigra. "Because we partner with professional service providers such as e-ternity, end-users can be sure to receive excellent customer service from an experienced support team."

ESG Survey Reveals Two Out Of Three Enterprises Use SharePoint As Business Critical Application – Need For SharePoint Management Tools A Top Priority To Help Scale And Improve Performance

Metalogix Solves Key Management Challenges Associated with SharePoint Content Sprawl with Intuitive Management, Migration and Storage Optimization Solutions

WASHINGTON, DC, August 30, 2011 – Metalogix Software, the leading provider in content lifecycle management (CLM) solutions for Microsoft® SharePoint®, Exchange®, and legacy environments, today announced that it solves key challenges for companies that are making big bets with SharePoint as a top business critical application, as outlined in the new Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) whitepaper, “Managing SharePoint as a Business-critical Application.”  The new research paper, authored  by ESG’s Brian Babineau and Bill Lundell, outlines how SharePoint management should be an investment priority because today’s considerations with SharePoint infrastructure management, security and data migrations are only going to gain importance as usage increases and the profile of users evolves.

According to the ESG study, which surveyed 3,129 IT professionals, 64 percent of North American and Western European organizations are currently using SharePoint, while an additional 12 percent intend to within the next 24 months. This overwhelmingly confirms that SharePoint is now considered to be a top business application – 80 percent ranked it among their top 10 business applications- a significant update since the March 2009 survey. This major shift in enterprise content management direction is driven by the increasing need for team and document collaboration as well as document versioning and management with the SharePoint 2010 SP1 version.  However, the survey shows this rapid adoption of SharePoint and its resulting business reliance comes with some significant management gaps that ISVs are poised to fill.

“SharePoint optimization requires several different tracks, including increased asset utilization, data mobility and movement and storage management, all while maintaining satisfactory application availability and response times,” said Babineau and Lundell in the ESG paper. “Organizations must consider this process holistically in order to avoid relying on one-off resolutions that don’t scale and end up costing more money in the long run.”

Metalogix solutions for SharePoint delivers this holistic approach to SharePoint  management, providing users with the freedom to consolidate, manage and optimize their enterprise content the way their applications behave.  Metalogix eliminates the out-of-the-box operational constraints  and  enables organizations of all sizes to optimize the SharePoint content infrastructure  in order to  consolidate,  scale and cost-effectively manage, migrate, store, archive and protect enterprise content whether on-premise or in the cloud. The following are the three key SharePoint management challenges outlined by the ESG paper and how Metalogix solutions help to resolve them:

Storage and Infrastructure: In the area of SharePoint infrastructure, ESG reports that the most common issue IT departments report is performance and scalability, from many different perspectives. This is largely due to high data growth, which can cause difficulty in provisioning storage capacity, wide area network performance problems, poor application response times, lengthy content search times and slow backup and recovery processes.

Metalogix StoragePoint’s BLOB externalization and archiving solution helps eliminate this critical SharePoint infrastructure challenge by enabling organizations to keep their unstructured binary large objects (BLOBs) out of SharePoint’s  content database and offloading them onto virtually any tier  of NAS, SAN or Cloud storage platforms. Here, the BLOBs can be stored on less-expensive systems and SQL clusters can be right sized for optimal performance by consolidating and vastly reducing unnecessary content databases and thereby improve search, back up and archive performance times by as much as 95 percent.

Content Migrations: The ESG report states that upon deploying a new SharePoint farm or site, organizations have to make a critical decision regarding their legacy content and files  – migrate it or portal the metadata content within SharePoint. Another challenge is often moving data between SharePoint – either to a newer version or when moving existing on-premises SharePoint deployments to other servers, consolidating sites or moving some or all to the cloud.

Security Implications: When it comes to application security management challenges experienced since deploying SharePoint, over half of the ESG study respondents said that managing the permissions of who has access to content was a key concern. Provisioning sites in accordance with internal security policies was also a significant concern.

Metalogix Migration Manager helps to resolve this challenge through its built-in ongoing farm management capabilities by preserving all views, version chains, metadata and user-edit information when migrating between SharePoint sites. It can also map and migrate site permissions so that internal security policies can be easily enforced.

Regardless of an organization’s desired content lifecycle strategy, Metalogix offers a migration solution to help. Metalogix migration solutions migrate content into SharePoint from numerous sources or legacy systems. Adoption of Microsoft’s Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) and Office 365 is also simplified with easy-to-use, cost effective and powerful migration solutions and Metalogix is the only SharePoint migration product that has passed both the security and performance criteria set by Microsoft to be approved for installation on Office 365 dedicated servers.

“Clearly, SharePoint is rapidly coming of age now, and is becoming one of the most critical content collaboration delivery platforms that is driving this new era of mobile and social-based business  applications, and with it comes with some new management responsibilities,” said CEO Steven Murphy. “At Metalogix, our team has been solving SharePoint migration and management challenges for more than 10 years. We take a standards-based approach to delivering comprehensive content lifecycle management solutions that  enable organizations to increase the useability and performance of their content applications while reducing the administrative, storage costs, and operational  risks associated with  your  growing Microsoft content.“

Storage Switzerland Review Identifies Gridstore 2.0 As The Easiest Scale-Out NAS Implementation They’ve Tested

Hands-On Implementation Test Drive Demonstrates that the Gridstore Scale-Out NAS Solution can be Set Up in Less than 30 Minutes from Box to Writing Data

Mountain View, Calif. – August 30, 2011 – Gridstore™, the leader in scale-out NAS solutions for the SMB market, today announced that its Gridstore 2.0 solution has been identified by analyst firm Storage Switzerland as the easiest scale-out NAS implementation they have tested. In the hands-on review, “Storage Switzerland Drives SME Scale Out NAS – Initial Set Up of Gridstore 2.0,” Storage Switzerland’s senior analyst, George Crump, shares his “test drive” findings following a first look at the Gridstore Scale-out NAS solution.

“What makes Gridstore unique is its combination of a grid architecture with virtualization to eliminate the need for clusters,” said Crump. “This allows them to take advantage of parallel processing and I/O which should significantly improve throughput. Having been involved in several scale-out implementations, this is the easiest that I have seen thus far. We had the systems from box to accepting data in less than 30 minutes.”

“Gridstore makes it possible for small to mid-sized businesses to enjoy the benefits of scale-out storage without cost and complexity of NAS storage sprawl,” said Kelly Murphy, CEO, Gridstore. “It also eliminates the business risk of multiple single points of failure while reducing the cost of standalone NAS solutions by as much as a third. And, as Storage Switzerland has validated in their test drive evaluation, implementation can be completed in as little as a half an hour.”

The Storage Switzerland paper covering the initial set up test drive of the Gridstore 2.0 solution will be the first in a series of reports. The report includes video of the lab’s installation of the management software and system configuration. Storage Switzerland will be evaluating the Gridstore 2.0 solution’s performance over a 90-day period and providing additional reports including details on the management interface and results of read/write tests.

Gridstore Scale-out NAS Storage Solutions offload storage processing onto an unlimited number of Virtual Storage Controllers running in client side machines. This enables very simple low cost storage nodes to be used in parallel while generating exceptional performance, scaling and reliability that goes beyond any product it its class.

Liberty University Offloads 69 Percent Of Unstructured SharePoint Content With Metalogix StoragePoint

Large Private University Dramatically Improves SharePoint Performance, Scalability, Fault Tolerance, and Reduces Backup Time by Reducing BLOBs Stored in SQL Server Databases

WASHINGTON, DC, August 23, 2011 – Metalogix Software, the leading provider in content lifecycle management (CLM) solutions for Microsoft® SharePoint®, Exchange®, and legacy environments, announced today that Liberty University has purchased its Metalogix StoragePoint solution to manage its SharePoint content database. As the largest and fastest growing Christian university in the world, Liberty needed to be able to manage the business processes of the university, including finance administration and financial aid, as well as its education information knowledge database. With their SQL database bursting at the seams, they turned to Metalogix StoragePoint to alleviate the issue.

“Before we selected the Metalogix solution, our backups would take several hours, but with StoragePoint - bam it’s done,” said Adkins. “I don’t have to worry about backup windows, or the protection and recovery of our content.”

Liberty University offers more than 60 accredited programs of study to its over 72,000 distance learning students as well as its 12,000 students on campus. It also employs another 5,000 faculty and staff. With close to 200GB of storage in their SQL database, backups were becoming too complicated. Optimizing their SharePoint storage to improve performance and data protection processes was their answer. Liberty began to seek a solution that would minimize its unstructured SharePoint data or binary large objects (BLOBs) stored in its SQL database and by selecting and leveraging Metalogix StoragePoint they were able to do so.

StoragePoint enables Liberty to keep its unstructured BLOB content such as PDFs, JPEG images and Microsoft Word documents out of SharePoint’s content databases and offload them onto virtually any mix of NAS or SAN storage – on premises or in the cloud. Just a couple of hours after installation, the university began to see immediate ROI by enabling it to leverage more cost-effective storage without sacrificing performance, functionality or user experience.

Now that Liberty has its SharePoint infrastructure optimized for continued growth, it is planning its migration from SharePoint 2007 to 2010. So pleased with the product quality and knowledgeable support team, the university came back to Metalogix for its migration solution. They will be using Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint to streamline the upgrade providing them a comprehensive content lifecycle management solution.

"The amount of reduction Liberty University experienced with their SQL content database is what most of our customers experience once they offload," said Steven Murphy, CEO of Metalogix. "We offer the most seamless and transparent solution on the market.  We are so glad Liberty was pleased enough with StoragePoint to now utilize Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint, too."

Metalogix StoragePoint

Winner of Microsoft’s® SharePoint® 2010 Innovation award, Metalogix StoragePoint enables organizations to keep their unstructured content such as PDF, JPEG images, Microsoft Word documents, video and other digital content – also known as Binary Large Objects (BLOBs), out of SharePoint’s content databases and offload them onto virtually any mix of NAS or SAN storage – on premises or in the cloud. Installed and configured in minutes, StoragePoint provides immediate ROI by enabling companies to leverage cost effective storage without sacrificing performance, functionality or user experience.

Asigra Named in MSPmentor 250 for Cloud Backup Industry Leadership

Asigra Recognized Among the World’s Top Managed Services Experts for Business Achievements

TORONTO  –  Asigra Inc., a leading cloud backup and recovery software provider since 1986, today announced that MSPmentor 250 has included the company as a top industry leader for 2011. Each year, MSPmentor 250 identifies the world’s top managed services experts, entrepreneurs and executives, including professionals who have mastered business leadership, marketing, sales, technology, coaching and other areas within the managed services market. As the only Canadian cloud backup software developer in the MSPmentor 250, this recognition reflects Asigra’s continued momentum as the company sets the standard in cloud backup.

Eran Farajun, the company’s executive vice president, was cited in this year’s list. According to MSP Mentor, “Farajun has built Asigra into a leading storage provider to MSPs. Customer deployments grew from 100,000 sites in 2009 to 400,000 sites in 2011; the partner base has tripled; and Asigra has built relationships with HP, NetApp, Intel and Symantec.”

Cloud computing has seen rapid industry adoption for its ability to retain or improve levels of IT service while cutting costs and simplifying once complex and time consuming processes, easing the workloads of IT professionals. With a 100% channel-focused business model and the only software developer that enables MSPs to own their own cloud, Asigra provides the broadest range of product/service delivery options to support a range of customers, from consumers to the enterprise. While the industry has grown significantly with many new cloud computing startups opening their doors, Asigra is known for a solid business model that is focused on enabling service providers with the delivery of private, public and hybrid cloud backup. Having been in business for over 25 years with many industry firsts, the company provides its partners with what is considered the most feature-rich solution in the cloud backup and recovery market. This leadership has been validated byservice providers, customers, industry analysts and press.

Asigra cloud backup features an agentless design which is advantageous for any cloud or virtual machine architecture and better suited for virtual backup than agent-based solutions by eliminating application disruption or downtime during implementation or upgrades. Autonomic healing and recovery validation functions constantly monitor and repair backup files, eliminating data corruption as a serious issue. Asigra Cloud Backup also offers MSPs backup and storage efficiencies unavailable with traditional backup architectures by allowing users to capture, ingest, and store less data. These efficiencies reduce the amount of backup software cycles and storage hardware required to deploy and maintain business-class levels of data protection as a service.

“As one of the most active areas in cloud computing, cloud backup is an application area being used or at least considered by the bulk of today’s managed service providers,” said Farajun. “For companies in the channel seeking a true technology enabler that does not provide competitive services, Asigra offers a pure channel focused business model that puts partners first. This has made 2011 another excellent year for the company and we appreciate MSP Mentor’s recognition of our efforts.”

451 Group Impact Report Recognizes Asigra Cloud Backup v11for Enterprise Data Protection of Tablets and Smartphones

Strong Feature Set Augmented with Mobile Device Support

TORONTO – August 11, 2011 – Asigra Inc., a leading cloud backup and recovery software provider since 1986, today announced that the company’s latest generation software has been featured in an Impact Report by The 451 Group titled “Asigra’s Cloud Backup Floats into Tablet and Smartphone Space.” In the report, Asigra is recognized for its latestgeneration cloud backup software, large network of service providers, more than 400,000 global customer site deployments and strategic partnerships with Intel, NetApp, and Huawei Symantec to increase the company’s footprint in the cloud backup and recovery space.

With worldwide shipments of smartphones reaching 302 million units in 2010 and more than 53 million tablets expected to ship in 2011, the large and growing amount of corporate data that is residing and flowing through mobile devices is increasing the need to protect these assets in the enterprise. In The 451 Group analysis of Asigra and its recently announced Cloud Backup, Recovery & Restore (BURR) v11 platform, the research firm highlighted Asigra’s “strong feature set” which has been augmented further for the protection of data on smartphones and tablets in the enterprise. Asigra’s ability to backup laptops, tablets and smartphones provide a consolidated data protection offering for businesses to rein in all of their critical corporate data.

“We at The 451 Group believe that Asigra chose the right time to add backup clients for smartphones and tablets given their increasing popularity in business environments,” said Henry Baltazar, Senior Analyst, The 451 Group. “The key now will be for service-providers to effectively deliver this technology as a service to enterprises challenged with the protection of mobile devices.”

As a point of differentiation from other enablers of cloud backup, the research firm points out that Asigra ensures “there is no proprietary lock-in to a single service provider. Customers are free to shift over to another Asigra partner if they are unsatisfied with the pricing or the service levels of their existing provider, without having to abandon their data.”

"We are pleased with the continued acknowledgement from industry analysts as we gain momentum in the cloud backup space,” said Ashar Baig, Senior Director, Strategic Alliances, Asigra. "By advancing our solution with innovative features, we're able to deliver the only cloud backup platform to protect an organization’s entire digital footprint, from multiple data centers to mobile devices.”

Acosta Sales & Marketing Automates Migration From SharePoint 2003 To 2007 With Zero Downtime With Metalogix

Leading Sales and Marketing Agency Takes the Pain Out of Their SharePoint Migration Project with Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint

WASHINGTON, DC, – Metalogix Software, the leading provider in content lifecycle management (CLM) solutions for Microsoft® SharePoint®, Exchange®, and legacy environments, announced today that Acosta Sales & Marketing (Acosta) has successfully migrated from SharePoint 2003 to 2007 with Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint with zero downtime or disruption to its business. Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint uses a familiar copy-and-paste-style user interface so Acosta can easily optimize its data before migrating it. They can also migrate at their own pace while maintaining full fidelity and preserving views, version chains, metadata and user-edit information.

Acosta has grown from a local food broker to become the leading outsourced sales and marketing agency serving consumer packaged goods companies and retailers across North America. With this rapid growth, the company had several hundred gigabytes of document files and found that theyneeded to use many of the advanced features in SharePoint 2003 to manage them. But, when it came time to migrate to SharePoint 2007, moving the data they were using in the earlier version was problematic. The Acosta team began to evaluate third-party SharePoint migration solutions to help automate their migrationprocess, but found that few offered the ease of use and features it discovered in the Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint solution.

“Our options were to do the migration manually, or leverage a solution that only handled a fraction of the content. Neither approach was viable for us because they invited risk of lost data and business disruption to our collaboration environment,” said John Morales, collaboration technology manager and platform support services, Acosta Sales & Marketing. “The Metalogix solution was very successful in handling the more advanced parts of our SharePoint content migration and we just felt at ease with Metalogix. The implementation and deployment of the product is dead simple. We deployed it in our production environment in a matter of minutes with absolutely no downtime.”

Acosta uses Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint as a core component of its SharePoint management process. The company finds the product to be a tremendous productivity saver, making what was once a time consuming and error ridden task of migrating their SharePoint data, painless and error free.

“Working with innovative firms like Acosta is a real win/win and we are pleased to work with firms that want to implement advanced SharePoint management solutions that enhance and add value to their existing and future content management practices,” said Steven Murphy, CEO of Metalogix. “Acosta had such a positive and easy experience migrating from SharePoint 2003 to 2007 with Migration Manager for SharePoint that they have come back to us to migrate to SharePoint 2010. We strive to offer the most advanced functionality and user-friendly migration solutions in the market that make even the most tedious tasks effortless–all without disruption or downtime for our customers.”

Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint

Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint (formerly SharePoint Site Migration Manager) is the industry’s de facto standard for upgrading, consolidating, reorganizing and transforming SharePoint environments. Whether your organization is moving content to Office 365; upgrading from SharePoint 2003 or 2007 to SharePoint 2010; moving between SharePoint servers; managing a hybrid cloud environment, or managing the ongoing organization of your SharePoint content, Migration Manager for SharePoint is an easy-to-use and convenient way of managing the lifecycle of your SharePoint data. Using a familiar copy-and-paste-style user interface, Metalogix Migration Manager enables users to quickly migrate content silos to a common SharePoint system. All data libraries, lists, web parts and permissions can be moved while preserving views, version chains, metadata and user-edit information. Furthermore, customers can use Migration Manager for SharePoint – File Share Edition, to easily migrate large repositories of files to Office 365. Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint is the only migration product to pass Microsoft SharePoint Online Code Analysis Framework (MSOCAF) testing and be deployed by customers in Microsoft data centers for Office 365 and BPOS.

Atlantis Computing CTO Chetan Venkatesh and Expert Jim Moyle Debate the future of VDI with Brian Madden and Gabe Knuth at BriForum 2011 Chicago

Can VDI Replace 90 Percent of PCs? Will Windows 7 IOPS Stall Your VDI Deployment? Should You Start Deploying VDI by P2Ving Existing Systems? Could A Single Handheld Nirvana Phone Replace your PC?

Mountain View, CA July 18, 2011 – Atlantis ComputingTM, the leader in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) storage and performance optimization solutions, today announced that Chetan Venkatesh, CTO and founder of Atlantis Computing and Jim Moyle, Lead Northern Europe Solutions Consultant for Atlantis Computing, will deliver four sessions at BriForum Chicago.

The Atlantis ILIO software virtual appliance allows organizations to slash the amount and cost of storage for VDI deployments, boosts desktop performance to ensure user acceptance and allows security to be deployed without impacting server density. The solution is easily deployed by Citrix, VMware, and Quest channel partners into existing Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View, and Quest vWorkspace deployments to either support more users on the same infrastructure, or address current scalability and performance issues. Atlantis Computing Experts to Address the Obstacles and Solutions to Overcoming VDI Challenges

  • Brian & Chetan's VDI-in-the-Cloud Argument (One Year Later)

Chetan Venkatesh and Brian Madden debate the future and adoption of VDI vs. client-based desktop virtualization and what percentage of desktops will ultimately run on VDI and client devices.

  • Windows IOPS Deep Dive: What IOPS Means to You and Why You Can't do VDI Without Knowing About Them

Jim Moyle presents new test data establishing how critical IOPS are to Windows 7 virtual desktops’ performance to dispel some of the myths behind sizing VDI storage.

  • Does It Make Sense and Save Time Migrating to VDI by P2Ving Your Existing Systems?

Jim Moyle and Gabe Knuth discuss the idea of converting existing PCs to virtual PCs as a first step to VDI migration before tackling all the required components of the stateless desktop.

  • A Single Handheld Device for Everything: The Nirvana Phone…Heaven or Hell?

Jim Moyle and Steve Greenberg will discuss the convergence of devices, the Citrix Receiver and whether users will adopt a single mobile device connected to VDI as their desktop.

STORAGE SWITZERLAND AND GRIDSTORE TO HOST WEBINAR ON ELIMINATING SMB STORAGE SPRAWL WITH SCALE OUT NAS

Mountain View, CA. – June 24, 2011 – Gridstore™, the leader in scale-out NAS solutions for the SMB market, today announced a webinar that will help organizations address the issues of storage sprawl and how scale out NAS solves their storage dilemma. The webinar, titled “NAS in a Box vs. Scale Out NAS for the SMB,” will take place on June 28 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific. Storage Switzerland’s lead analyst, George Crump and Kelly Murphy, CEO, Gridstore, will lead the webinar.

In this webinar, participants will learn how to:

  • Reduce SMB storage costs
  • Increase IT staff efficiency
  • Improve user productivity
  • Provide better data reliability

The first server a small to medium sized business purchases is often one that allows for file sharing and collaboration called network attached storage (NAS). As the business grows and becomes a small to medium sized business (SMB), the first point of storage trouble is often that NAS. It either runs out of capacity; can’t provide enough performance, or both. As a result, the SMB is forced to add NAS after NAS to keep up with these demands, which leads to storage sprawl and management complexity. Crump will explain how storage sprawl places pressure on every aspect of the SMB as the storage line item becomes a larger and larger part of the storage budget.

Murphy will follow by explaining how storage sprawl can be stopped by taking a technology that was created for the large enterprise, scale-out NAS, and applying it to the mid-sized market, which is exactly what Gridstore has done with their Scale-out NAS solution.

Registration for this webinar is open now. You can register today by visiting: “NAS in a Box vs. Scale Out NAS for the SMB".
