Lync Voice Tip-o-the-Week #3 – Fun with Phone Numbers - Buchanan Technologies, Inc. - ContactCenterWorld.com Blog
By Ken Lasko
A pet peeve of mine is trying to dial phone numbers that are given out like 1-800-FLOWERS. While it’s easy to remember, it’s not so easy to dial. I find it time-consuming and irritating to look at the dial pad to figure out that F is 3, L is 5 and so on. Yeah, I need bigger things to worry about.
Did you know that with the Lync client, you don’t have to type the numbers, you can just type 1-800-FLOWERS and Lync will translate it to a number:
Pretty cool, huh?
Tune in next where I will discuss how Lync knows you’re ever wake moment. Be afraid, be very afraid.
As I’ve noted in my last posts, the features I am covering throughout this series are only available if your Lync admin has enabled them. If you don’t have access to these features, you should partner with Buchanan Technologies to help you unlock Lync’s full potential.
