The Philippine BPO Industry continues to boom as reports that 100 new foreign companies are planning to build outsourcing operations in the country.
According to Manila Bulletin, a hundred foreign companies want to invest in the Philippines - currently the leading BPO service providing country in the world.
Contact Centre Association of the Philippines President Benedict Hernandez announced the good news during a press conference for the 11th International Contact Centre Conference and Expo, which will happen from September 27 to 28, 2016.
The conference/expo will be held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
In the report, Hernandez said that this is the first time for the association to bring foreign investors during its annual conference, so the investors can see the country's BPO Industry.
Hernandez said, “The main difference in this year’s conference is the assembly of 100 foreign investors, clients and prospects looking for opportunities,"
He added, “We focus on bringing over international delegates to see for themselves why the Philippines has become the best location for customer relations management.”
As noted, the hundred potential investors consist mostly of multinational companies, as well as other outsourcing companies that doesn't have the necessary knowledge yet on how the Philippine BPO Industry works.
The CCAP President said that these would-be investors have yet to do business with the country, but assured that once they discover why the Philippines is a contact centre hotspot, they will surely do business here.
Currently, the Philippines is the world's number one destination for voice-related services, which reports have said that brings in over $22 billion in export revenues.
The United States is the leading outsourcing client that the Philippines have; accounting for 70 percent of the country’s total outsourcing industry, but Australia is starting to catch up.
Despite only discovering the Philippines over five years ago, Australia was reported to be the fastest growing outsourcing market in the country, accounting for the remaining 30 percent.
What's more, the Philippine BPO Industry is further expanding its services, which started merely from data entry and directory assistance to analytics and tech support services, as well as high-value added services.
With these numbers, expect the country's industry to grow in the following years to come.
