This may come a bit as of a surprise, but Australian mobile telcos ranked fourth best - globally.
Many telco outsourcing services and citizens of Australia were surprised of this news.
According to Lifehacker, only South Korea has bested Australia as the best in the world when it comes to service, due to the fact that it has an almost 4G system.
The study/survey was done by OpenSignal and questioned around 822,556 users worldwide, which was between the periods of May 1 to July 23, 2016. And according to the study, Australian iOS and Android smartphone users received adequate service from their respective mobile networks.
Citizens of Australia have reportedly access to 3G or 4G services for almost 95 percent of the time, which makes it significantly better than worldwide average of 82.14 percent, with many countries like India, Iraq and Ukraine still using the outdated 2G network.
OpenSignal said that good mobile signal is not difficult to find in most parts of the world, as most countries scored availability results of 75 percent or higher. And although there's a speed difference between the slowest 3G network compared to the fastest 4G network, its least common denominator is sufficient.
Australia was actually lucky that it received advancements in its network technology from major ISPs like Telstra and Vodafone, which continues to get even bigger.
As for the leader of the pack, South Korea leads with a wide margin as far as network download speeds are concerned, with the rating of 41.34 Mbps on its 4G network. Singapore and Hungary came second and third respectively, with speeds of 31.19 Mbps and 26.15 Mbps.
However, despite this good news, many Australians - especially from remote and rural areas - continue to express frustration with their Internet, with many still saying that they either have slow connection or no connection at all.
As for the next OpenSignal results, reports said that it's going to be released after six months.
