The team

Our Data team gathers insights from oodles of data using their innate curiosity and technical prowess—informing future products and helping our customers. You’ll work with a variety of teams across the company to provide counsel and recommendations on how to best drive forward global initiatives.

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • Understand the data landscape at Dialpad.
  • Partner primarily with Finance teams to define analytics requirements.
  • Design data schema and structure for datasets.  Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources to build complete datasets to be used for analysis.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day analytics support to answer questions, manage data sources, ensure data hygiene and quality, and empower users to self-service.

In your first 60 days: 

  • Become a valued, proactive thought partner that articulates opportunity areas and next steps in partnership with the business partners you support.
  • Create and maintain dashboards that power up stakeholders to make data-driven decisions across the organization. 
  • Communicate analysis and decisions to high-level stakeholders and executives in verbal, visual, and written media.

By 90 days: 

  • Be well versed in the Finance facing data sets.
  • Understand the business, key drivers, and be able to articulate a data analytics strategy to help the business do better.
  • Have a vision for how to evolve Financial Analytics.

Who you are

- You love data and you love answering the hard questions that cannot be solved in a spreadsheet.  While others may wait for problems to be solved...you are the one that solves them

- Hard skills (they will be tested):

  • You are fluent with data, analytics and visualization technologies 
  • You are comfortable with descriptive and inferential statistics (ie You are able to tell stories from data and perform statistical tests).
  • You are fluent in SQL and are able to join data from multiple sources to create a dataset that can then be analyzed.
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus (this will be tested if it is mentioned on your resume).
  • You understand data warehouse design, development, and best practices

- You believe that data accuracy is absolutely critical

- You have extremely strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build strong relationships and influence with finance partners

- You are experienced leading cross-functional projects that depend on the contributions of others in a variety of disciplines

- Accounting background or experience working with FP amp;A teams is a plus.

- Fluency in English is required

Velocity is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in assisting the FP&A team with budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, policy and procedure implementation, and ad hoc analyses. The Financial Analyst will conduct financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations.

 

This is a fully remote position. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and develop financial models, reports, dashboards and other presentation materials

• Perform variance analysis on monthly/quarterly results and use insight to iterate on forecasts and push for operational improvements

• Support quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting efforts

• Generate monthly in-depth revenue analysis

• Develop and manage sales reporting to internal and external customers

• Develop and manage financial reporting dashboard including but not limited to monthly results, quarterly forecast, and ROI metrics

• Maintain current and build new financial models for customer projects

• Support finance process improvement initiatives

• Work closely with cross-functional partners to execute against operating plans

• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses including but not limited to capital project and investment analysis, cost analysis and expense performance comparisons

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

• 3+ years progressive Financial Analysis experience in a corporate environment

• 3+ years on a FP&A team

• 2+ years experience in partnering with business leaders

• Experience with financial planning and forecasting

• Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) skills

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite)

• Demonstrates a significant understanding of business finance and ability to apply knowledge to complex financial matters

• Demonstrates a significant understanding of corporate finance and costing principles, understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics, principles of cost control/management • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

The Role

Our backend team is building a highly-available and distributed data pipeline that powers Telnyx products like Voice, Messaging and Wireless. We leverage the Telnyx private backbone network to build a cloud-agnostic data platform that processes thousands of messages per second. 

With our lean team, we're currently running and managing more than 30 dockerized microservices deployed in multiple regions in the U.S. and Europe. We are looking for a Java backend Engineer with deep knowledge of Java Core.

In This Role You Will

  • Work on 30+ microservices implemented in Java 11 and Scala that process, aggregate and expose all data our telecommunication and messaging engines generate

  • Improve performance of our pipeline, we are currently processing 10k messages/sec and keep growing

  • Architect our services and pipelines so they work with minimum latency in all our locations around the world (U.S., E.U., Australia, South America )

  • Implement fraud detection processes with machine learning (Spark ML with Kafka)

  • Deploy services to multi cloud Kubernetes environment in order to achieve 99.999% uptime

  • Push code to production multiple times a day

You May Be A Fit If You Have 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with Java and its ecosystem of tooling.

  • Experience with Scala or other functional programming languages is a plus.

  • Experience with Linux, Git, Docker, in a CI environment is a plus.

  • Experience with distributed systems and systems that have to maintain ”5 nines of uptime”(99.999%) is a plus.

The team

Instrumental in the success and retention of Dialpad customers, our Customer Success team is the backbone of our company. Using your problem-solving skills and inherent motivation to help others, you will delight and assist our Small Medium Business (SMB) customers from their first call to their last (if there is one!). 

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days, you’ll: 

  • Attend BaseCamp, our Revenue Org onboarding program, where you’ll learn all about our company, product, internal systems, and CS approach.
  • Work closely with your manager and teammates to get up to speed on all things CS: processes, tool set, customer base, etc.
  • Understand how the SMB Customer Success team fits into the greater Dialpad picture.
  • Get to know cross-functional partners that we work with most frequently, like Sales, Professional Services, Product, Support, and AR.
  • Head into month 2 with a solid grasp of where to go to find the right answers to customer questions.

In your first 60 days, you’ll: 

  • Familiarize yourself with your book of business using qualitative and quantitative data and begin getting introduced to your customers by your teammates.
  • Establish a regular cadence with your customers to stay aligned on business goals, product updates, etc.
  • Manage upcoming renewals and forecast renewals for the next quarter to ensure predictability for the business.
  • Dig into the product more and more as you receive specific questions from your customers - this is when everything really starts to click!

By 90 days, you’ll:

  • Start conducting Business Reviews with customers to demonstrate value, get to know key stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lean into your role as the “voice of the customer” within Dialpad by funneling feedback from your customers to Product and others.
  • Oversee your customers’ adoption, training, and development of best practices to continually drive incremental value and ROI.
  • Manage escalations by documenting open issues, facilitating regular status meetings, and working cross-functionally to resolution.

What you will achieve

As an iOS engineer, you will work closely with other iOS engineers, designers, product managers, engineering managers, and the engineers that support the developer platform and infrastructure. You will use your passion and in-depth knowledge of iOS to build components and features that will shape the future of Dialpad.

In your first 30 days: 

  • Meet the iOS engineers and your manager.
  • Get your development environment setup.
  • Become familiar with the architecture and coding guidelines.
  • Explore codebase.
  • Work on small tasks that will acquaint you with the codebase.

In your first 60 days: 

  • Drive work on small-to-medium tasks.
  • Become more familiar with our release and triage processes.
  • Offer solutions to some of our complex problems.
  • Begin leading projects.

By 90 days: 

  • Contribute to our code quality, developer experience and mobile platform.
  • Drive larger projects than previously.
  • Work with the engineering manager and product managers to accelerate our user experiences and code quality.
  • Learn more deeply about the triaging process; locating sources of issues, identifying priorities, and offering simple or more involved diagnoses that can be used by engineers to resolve the issues.

The role:

 Littlefish are looking for an Onsite Support Engineer to provide effective onsite technical support to Littlefish contract customers, for desktop/laptop/printer/application issues and installations as well as basic network/server troubleshooting and administration.

What you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line onsite and remote technical support services to Littlefish contract customers, in line with personal skill sets.
  • Resolve issues in a competent manner, whilst communicating professionally with the customer and members of the Service Desk, Infrastructure and Professional Services team
  • To prioritise, progress and resolve technical queries and service requests assigned to the individual in accordance with standard and customer specific service level agreements
  • To be responsible for completing specific technical projects as designated by the Service Management Team e.g. projects, deployments, installs, moves, adds and changes
  • Make effective use of all personal and team time during any periods of inactivity
  • Maintain personal qualifications and skill sets and ensure training is completed in line with business and personal needs.

  • Previous experience of working in an IT support role

Using your problem-solving skills and inherent motivation to help others, you will delight and assist our Small Medium Business (SMB) customers from their first call to their last (if there is one!). 

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days, you’ll: 

  • Attend BaseCamp, our Revenue Org onboarding program, where you’ll learn all about our company, product, internal systems, and CS approach.
  • Work closely with your manager and teammates to get up to speed on all things CS: processes, tool set, customer base, etc.
  • Understand how the SMB Customer Success team fits into the greater Dialpad picture.
  • Get to know cross-functional partners that we work with most frequently, like Sales, Professional Services, Product, Support, and AR.
  • Head into month 2 with a solid grasp of where to go to find the right answers to customer questions.

In your first 60 days, you’ll: 

  • Familiarize yourself with your book of business using qualitative and quantitative data and begin getting introduced to your customers by your teammates.
  • Establish a regular cadence with your customers to stay aligned on business goals, product updates, etc.
  • Manage upcoming renewals and forecast renewals for the next quarter to ensure predictability for the business.
  • Dig into the product more and more as you receive specific questions from your customers - this is when everything really starts to click!

By 90 days, you’ll:

  • Start conducting Business Reviews with customers to demonstrate value, get to know key stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lean into your role as the “voice of the customer” within Dialpad by funneling feedback from your customers to Product and others.
  • Oversee your customers’ adoption, training, and development of best practices to continually drive incremental value and ROI.
  • Manage escalations by documenting open issues, facilitating regular status meetings, and working cross-functionally to resolution. 
  • Track accounts to identify churn risks and work proactively to mitigate those risks.

Who you are

First and foremost, you love working with customers and helping them realize value by achieving (or exceeding!) their goals. You’re early in your Customer Success career, with less than 2 years of experience, and eager to get started in a fast-paced tech role. You know how to communicate clearly, use data to your advantage, and organize your time like a boss. What you will achieve

In your first 30 days:

  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve or escalate tickets reported by Customer Support and other product development teams like product, engineering, and QA

In your first 6 months: 

  • Research, analyze, and diagnose complicated technical issues through leveraging backend systems and logging

By 1 year:

  • Become a calling expert, learning all there is about the different phases of a call between the backend telephony engine, the SIP and  WebRTC layer, and the dialpad app itself
  • Partner with engineering teams to become the point of contact regarding mobile engineering issues

Who you are

You love learning how things work and figuring out thorny problems. You are a good communicator who likes helping people. You have prior experience working in production support across multiple applications. You’re an expert at proactively identifying potential issues, and resolving customer issues.

Soft Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years experience in supporting large scale distributed systems, SaaS-based solutions working with global distributed teams across multiple time zones. Preferably in the VOIP and/or business communications (UCaaS/CCaaS) industry
  • A technical background with excellent English written communication skills and empathy for software engineers and customers is vital
  • Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience maintaining high quality customer facing software applications
  • Excellent problem solver who loves to learn and is interested in VOIP telephony and working with people
  • You are curious and persistent. Some issues take hours or days to pin down. Also you will be self-directed and able to prioritize work so that everything that’s urgent gets done.
  • Experience with, and an interest in learning, a broad array of frontend, backend languages amp; frameworks and cloud computing technologies

Tech skills:

  • Beginner's understanding of networks and networking issues
  • Beginner's level understanding of SIP and WebRTC
  • Ability to read logs from the apps and understand:
    • SIP and WebRTC handshakes
    • WebRTC stats, like MOS scores and audio energy

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • You'll experience our comprehensive onboarding and learn about Dialpad's culture amp; values
  • Work closely with your mentors to set up your tools and learn about our products, software development and production support processes and workflows
  • Get to know the mobile and product engineering teams and their respective areas of focus
  • Review and use existing knowledge base documentation for multiple product areas and shadow other production support engineers 
  • Start developing cross-functional, collaborative relationships across engineering, product, design, QA and customer support teams, as well as other internal teams as needed

In your first 90 days: 

  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve or escalate tickets reported by Customer Support and other product development teams like product, engineering, and QA
  • Be the first line of support for calling-related bugs
  • Develop extensive documentation for both customers and internal teams to reduce troubleshooting time and drive faster issue resolution

In your first 6 months: 

  • Research, analyze, and diagnose complicated technical issues through leveraging backend systems and logging
  • Lead active incident management and post-incident learnings

By 1 year:

  • Become a calling expert, learning all there is about the different phases of a call between the backend telephony engine, the SIP and  WebRTC layer, and the dialpad app itself
  • Partner with engineering teams to become the point of contact regarding mobile engineering issues
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams for enhancing bug management workflows and automating processes to create efficiency
  • Start leading and/or mentoring other production support engineers on a fast growing team


Who you are

You love learning how things work and figuring out thorny problems. You are a good communicator who likes helping people. You consistently thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment with the ability to work with and deeply understand a new product or service. You have prior experience working in production support across multiple applications. You’re an expert at proactively identifying potential issues, and resolving customer issues.

Soft Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years experience in supporting large scale distributed systems, SaaS-based solutions working with global distributed teams across multiple time zones. Preferably in the VOIP and/or business communications (UCaaS/CCaaS) industry
  • A technical background with excellent English written communication skills and empathy for software engineers and customers is vital
  • Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience maintaining high quality customer facing software applications
  • Excellent problem solver who loves to learn and is interested in VOIP telephony and working with people
  • You are curious and persistent. Some issues take hours or days to pin down. Also you will be self-directed and able to prioritize work so that everything that’s urgent gets done.
  • Experience with, and an interest in learning, a broad array of frontend, backend languages amp; frameworks and cloud computing technologies

Tech skills:

  • Beginner's understanding of networks and networking issues
  • Beginner's level understanding of SIP and WebRTC
  • Ability to read logs from the apps and understand:
    • SIP and WebRTC handshakes

The billing engineering team builds scalable APIs and tooling to manage the full billing lifecycle for our customers. Engineers have a huge impact and work on features tied directly to the revenue that Dialpad brings in. This is a full stack engineering team, but the majority of work is on the backend side. The team builds backend billing features to bring in revenue, customer facing frontends that allow admins to manage their licenses, and automated tooling for our finance and support teams. It’s all about thinking big and scaling to the rapid growth we have with more users, calls, and resellers.

What you will achieve

In your first two months:

  • Meet your manager and onboarding buddy who will help you ramp up
  • Set up your development environment
  • Get to know a highly communicative and collaborative engineering team 
  • Complete the engineering onboarding program (including training videos and documentation on the codebase)
  • Work on starter projects to get comfortable working with the Dialpad codebase. Starter projects are done across all teams, and will help ramp you up on all aspects including: frontend, backend, and architecture.

In your first six months:

  • You’ll join the close-knit billing engineering team and begin actively working on impactful and educational billing starter projects. For example: tooling that resellers can use to upgrade an account.
  • Projects are full stack, but lean more towards backend than frontend.
  • You’ll receive mentorship and code reviews from your peers on billing, including our experienced team lead who has been with Dialpad since the beginning. Your billing engineering peers love to work together, talk through projects, and help each other overcome roadblocks.

After six months:

  • You’ll have a deeper understanding of billing concepts and the billing codebase so you can work on more complex, challenging projects.
  • You’ll work on projects that contribute to the billing team’s longer term quarterly goals.

One year and beyond:

  • You’ll actively contribute to the architecture of the billing platform to help it scale and enable rapid growth in the Dialpad customer base.
    • Build reusable, well defined APIs that are consumed in product code.
    • Monitor for performance and accuracy of how we bill our customers.
    • Build automated tools to enable our customers and support teams to perform self-service billing operations.

Who you are

As a trusted and experienced senior front end engineer on the Call Experience team, you will own significant user-facing features and tackle technical challenges and enrich the team through your engineering experience including mentorship of junior engineers. You will lead projects with multiple engineers collaborating to deliver a major feature. You will work collaboratively in a cross functional team, including working closely with Product Managers in advocating for technical initiatives for the team and the Product Engineering organization.

The role

Reporting to the VP of Sales - EMEA, you will be responsible for driving Telnyx’s expansion in a dedicated European region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing scaleup and play a key role in our expansion into a new territory. Supported by our marketing and SDR teams, you will focus on identifying new high value customers for Telnyx and building long term, strategic business relationships that will lead to increased revenue growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the VP of Sales to develop a sales strategy across a single European region (France, DACH, Benelux, etc.)  - You will own the region and have responsibility for delivering the revenue targets

  • Develop a strong pipeline of deals with a combination of outbound sales prospecting and inbound leads supported by our marketing and SDR teams

  • Establish a trusted/strategic advisor relationship with each key customer and drive the continued value of Telnyx’s products and services.

  • Arranging and conducting Telnyx portal demos for prospects with the support of our Sales Engineering team

  • Work with customers to establish critical goals, or other key performance indicators and aid the customer in achieving their business goals.

  • Collaborating with marketing, product management and sales peers to optimize client value and Telnyx success

  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting based on results at each stage.

What we are looking for

  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow

  • 5+ years of selling experience in enterprise consumption-based software platforms

  • SaaS, or telecommunications industry experience

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota

  • Hunter mentality and experience working on outbound strategies (via telephone, email, social selling, etc)

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. You are a strong listener and communicator.

  • Ability to identify and sell to C-Level targets, as well as across Product Development and IT contacts

Bonus points for

  • French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, or Ukrainian language skills are a plus.

  • Telco, CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS or SaaS new business sales experience

  • Established relationships with customers that trust and respect your advice

  • Proven consultative sales solution skills, including the ability to articulate a clear, concise, return on investment value statement

  • Strong knowledge of US debt collection industry and laws related to it. (Regulatory certification preferred).

  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days:

The role 

Dialpad is looking for an Administrative Partner to join our San Ramon office. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our office a positive, welcoming and productive environment. You’ll also get the chance to interact with all levels of staff and various customers and clients.

This person is a highly talented, positive energy, full-time employee who will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. This individual will report to the BSOM to the CFO, working closely with our Facilities and IT managers, to deliver a highly professional world headquarters experience.  The individual is expected to be at Dialpad’s San Ramon office on all normal workdays, except during flexible time off periods or when traveling for business.  In some instances, this individual will need to work out of Dialpad’s San Francisco or San Jose office.

Responsibilities

The administrative assistant  is a key role at Dialpad and is integral to the company’s success 

  • Assist the CFO and other executives as needed
  • Work closely with Dialpad’s BSOMs, and EAs
  • Greet and provide general support to visitors
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly QBR’s, Board, and Audit meetings
  • Assist with on-site/off-site event planning and execution
  • Work with HR to design and execute charitable and other ESG initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination of charitable team activities for the SF Bay Area employees
  • Identify projects and areas that will improve or add to productivity
  • Become the “resident expert” for use of Dialpad’s best-in-class Ai communications and collaboration platform
  • Travel occasionally to Dialpad or customer events
  • Partner with facilities on interiors initiatives that improve the professionalism of our offices
  • Work with Dialpad Business Technology staff as required to ensure optimal operation of office equipment with preventive maintenance and 100% uptime for all key functionality (network, printing, etc.)
  • Maintain on-line and physical files
  • Manage expense reports
  • Assist in new hire set up 
  • Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies; order and distribute office supplies as necessary
  • Run errands as required (picking up mail, ordering supplies, employee keycards, delivering mail and packages to employees, etc.)
  • Have fun and enjoy life!

Who You Are

The ideal candidate should be a highly organized, quick learner who can multitask to meet multiple, competing project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They will have a calm demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, an enthusiastic and positive attitude, and an excellent, can-do work ethic.  Someone who can tackle any task with grit. 

  • 3+ years of office and/or customer support experience necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent
  • Self-starter with an ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent writing, copy editing, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (slides, sheets, docs) and basic technical skills to troubleshoot office equipment
  • Expertise in presentation creation, layouts, and editing
  • Be able to take direction with a capacity for independent initiative
  • Have a can-do attitude and a good sense of humor
  • Energetic – We are enthusiastic and would like you to be too
