Our Sys admins are client aligned and have a generalist EUC admin background. Job Title System Administrator Department Operations Base Location Nottingham Reports to Infrastructure Team Leader Staff Responsibility None General Overview of the position Our Sys admins are client aligned and have a generalist EUC admin background. As a System Administrator, your core function in the role will be general AD system administration, management of SCCM or Intune, application deployment, build management. You will also be required to work with customers to facilitate user acceptance testing. Clear thinking in how we investigate and resolve incidents will be critical, we expect our engineers to demonstrate clear evidence based thinking. Outside of incident resolution, we also expect our engineers to carry out requests, changes, assist other engineers in issues that they’re struggling with and participate in continuous improvement activities Main duties and responsibilities To include: ·Provide proactive 3rd line management of clients EUC estates ·Review and action requests for application deployment, (where necessary, discover, document, and collate all relevant information to complete) ·Validate existing packages and import into SCCM / Intune, deploying the package and performing testing. ·Deploying applications using SCCM / Intune, testing install and uninstall ·Perform further application testing to ensure it works with Windows 10 ·Liaise with testers, UAT groups as necessary to test applications ·Provide progress updates to SDMs, project teams and client teams when required ·Create and manage OS build images, OS and application patch management ·AD systems administration and Compliance reporting ·Maintain windows 10 Feature Releases to ensure clients remain on supported versions ·SLA Compliance – 90% ·Change success – 95% ·AV Compliance – 95% ·Patch Compliance – 90% ·Back-up success – 99% ·% of tickets* re-opened (less than 5%) ·Ticket – Average Age (Less than 7 days) ·Ticket - Time since last customer visible update (Less than 3 days) ·Ticket - Backlog Other duties Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job role, at the line managers direction.
