EZ Texting has an immediate opening on our Executive Team.
As the VP of Partnerships, you will take the lead implementing EZ Texting�s strategy to drive revenue growth through the launch of a partners team and development of new strategic channels. Reporting to the CEO, he/she will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers in partner organizations to secure new business, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of how to leverage and grow new partner relationships for achieving business growth goals. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. Success for this individual will be measured by their ability to secure and onboard partnerships that deliver enduring financial and user value to EZ Texting and it�s partners.
This individual should also have a deep understanding of what will be needed to properly resource a partner strategy, and work with all stakeholders to develop a plan for ensuring the success of a partner, post-launch. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and entrepreneurship is a must. This role will lead a new team responsible for the execution of a strategy to work with major (public and private) partners to jointly design and deliver customer engagement solutions using the EZ Texting platform.
In this role, she/he will work closely with senior executives across various verticals to identify, design, and delivery solutions. This role will both lead and work closely with product, engineering, finance, legal, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure the proper solution delivery and design.
Roles & Responsibilities
Envision new business opportunities, and identify the most promising ones for customer growth by applying both creative and analytical lenses.
Analyze, review and formulate a partner engagement framework. Evaluate new partners, markets and own business requirements against the framework to achieve results.
Serve as a cross-functional member of the senior leadership team, focused on delivering company-wide business results over functional optimization
Own deals from start-to-finish, as well as the ongoing relationships. With success comes the opportunity to grow your team.
Serve as an advocate for partners and identify areas for growth via partnerships. Work with every function across the company (product, engineering, finance, legal, marketing, sales, and support) to build repeatable playbooks and collateral to enable partners to sell into customers effectively.
Cultivate executive relationships with partners, optimize their performance and identify additional business opportunities to expand revenues.
Identify and coordinate the development of new resources and capabilities across internal teams to achieve partner goals. Identify and communicate new market requirements by translating customer needs and competitive landscape.
Develop business and strategic cases for 'first-of-their-kind' partnership opportunities and drive consensus among decision-makers
Reporting out on a regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence to all key stakeholders, with a strong analytical approach and crisp communication style.
Act a trusted point of contact for all partnership inquiries by demonstrating a deep understanding of client�s business drivers, challenges, and offer solutions that drive mutual positive business outcomes.
Collaborate on go-to-market strategies across channel sales organizations and strategic alliances.
8+ years of strategic partnership, sales/account management, and/or business development experience in a B2B or SaaS company
A deep believer in the strategic value of company culture
Successful track record of developing, establishing, and closing strategic partnerships; Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value deals with a C-level audience and positively influence the outcome
Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, ability to impact and influence outcomes in matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to be a �quick study� in a new vertical and ability to apply creativity in the partnership space
Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable influencing stakeholders through executive level presentation creation and delivery
Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving and service orientation; Positive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals
Flexibility to travel to/from Los Angeles area regularly and to partner locations.
Experience building a business unit from scratch.
Strong understanding of P&L�s
Consulting background or proven ability to work closely with external parties to devise and deliver solutions.
Professional and technical knowledge, as well as an extensive understanding of technology industry trends and the key players in the competitive landscape
Ability to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
Bachelor�s Degree, MBA preferred
