Job Description:
The Role The Telnyx Accounting Team is responsible for all aspects of the financial, statutory and internal reporting processes, financial systems, internal controls and business support. Our dynamic team is expanding, and we’re looking for experienced accountants to support our goals of scaling the accounting function for the future. We operate in a fast-paced environment and collaborate significantly with international and cross-functional teams. A Financial Accountant will support the processing and reporting of financial results. In this role you need to: Participate in building scalable accounting processes to support global growth Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and analytical reviews, producing internal management reporting and external audit support Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Design, implement and execute efficient internal control procedures Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedural documentation Facilitate the work of our outsourced bookkeeping team and continually make process changes in order to get them working more efficiently and effectively Accounts payable, including vendor reconciliations and initiating payments to vendors Other ad hoc projects as assigned You may be a fit for this role if you have: 3+ years of experience in an Accounting role B.A. or B.S degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail  Commitment to project ownership, accuracy, and completion on a timely basis Ability to work beyond a normal workday schedule when necessary to hit deadlines Strong desire to increase knowledge and expertise, both as an accountant and professional, in the telecommunications industry Ability to organize, prioritize, and timely manage large volumes of work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Gritty in the face of adversity and roadblocks to achieve goals Bonus points for: Knowledge of (or experience in) the technology or communications industry.
