Job Description:
Velocity is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in assisting the FP&A team with budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, policy and procedure implementation, and ad hoc analyses. The Financial Analyst will conduct financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations.   This is a fully remote position.    Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate and develop financial models, reports, dashboards and other presentation materials • Perform variance analysis on monthly/quarterly results and use insight to iterate on forecasts and push for operational improvements • Support quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting efforts • Generate monthly in-depth revenue analysis • Develop and manage sales reporting to internal and external customers • Develop and manage financial reporting dashboard including but not limited to monthly results, quarterly forecast, and ROI metrics • Maintain current and build new financial models for customer projects • Support finance process improvement initiatives • Work closely with cross-functional partners to execute against operating plans • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses including but not limited to capital project and investment analysis, cost analysis and expense performance comparisons   Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting • 3+ years progressive Financial Analysis experience in a corporate environment • 3+ years on a FP&A team • 2+ years experience in partnering with business leaders • Experience with financial planning and forecasting • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) skills   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite) • Demonstrates a significant understanding of business finance and ability to apply knowledge to complex financial matters • Demonstrates a significant understanding of corporate finance and costing principles, understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics, principles of cost control/management • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills • Ability to interface with executive team  Source: https://recruitingbypaycor.com/career/JobIntroduction.action?clientId=8a7883d066c7d86d0166cb232b2825ff&id=8a78879e812f7e0d01814070508b696f&source=&lang=en
