Role: Contact Centre Team Manager – Collections
Location: Coventry, West Midlands, Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Excellent Benefits
A leading Midlands organisation are looking for a Team Manager for their contact centre who has the experience to ensure effective court representation and enforcement of tenancy conditions whilst striving to achieve and maintain top quartile performance maximising income across the business.
You will be part of the income, collection and recovery team and will report into the Head of Income Collection and Recovery. You will be an experienced Manager to manage a high performance dispersed team of 9 Court Officers who cover the South and Midlands regions.
As Team Manager for the Collections team you will need to demonstrate excellent understanding of Housing Law particularly in relation to debt recovery and the County Court / Legal Process. Ideally you will have proven experience in Court Representation, managing a high performing team and excellent knowledge of best practice in debt collection within the social or private housing sector.
You will deliver an effective, customer driven income collection service and provide effective staff management.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of preparing and managing budgets and monitoring financial performance.
- An excellent knowledge of best practice in arrears collection and of related legal issues.
- Experience in income collection and recovery.
- Experience in court representation and tenancy enforcement action.
- The ability to demonstrate an excellent understanding of housing law, particularly in relation to debt recovery including the county court process.
- A sound understanding of Housing Law, Welfare reform and Universal Credit would be advantageous.
- Experience of resource planning.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
