Job Description:

We are seeking an Information Technology Security Engineer to be responsible for the architecture of infrastructure security and the evaluation, selection, and integration of information security methods. Security engineer is also responsible for analyzing software designs and implementations from a security perspective, and identifying/resolving security issues. You will include the appropriate security analysis and countermeasures at each phase of the software development life-cycle, to result in robust and reliable software.

In this position you will:

�    Support the VP, IT Operations for all ongoing activities that serve to provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with government and organization policies and standards.

�    Serve as an internal information security liaison to the organization.

�    Advise the organization with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issues.

�    Review all system-related security plans throughout the organization's network, acting as a liaison to Information Systems.

�    Perform information security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for security issues.

�    Monitor the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained.

�    Implement, test and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture

�    Perform on-going security testing and code review to improve software security

�    Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise

�    Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities

�    Contribute to all levels of the architecture

�    Maintain technical documentation

�    Consult team members on secure coding practices

�    Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices




Required qualifications for this position include:

�    Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science or a related field; or 5 years equivalent IT security management experience

�    Knowledge of SMS, voice and messaging will be a plus

�    CISSP is a nice to have

�    Google and AWS Cloud security certificates/experience

�    5 years IT experience in a medium to large LAN/WAN environment, with 2 or more years progressive experience in security architecture design and management.

�    Experience with a configuration management tool like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack

�    Experience with RHEL/CentOS

�    Strong project management (PM) skills with demonstrated use of PM best practices.

�    Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation


�    Software development experience in one of the following core languages: Java, Javascript, Python, PHP and Microservices

�    Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols

�    Interest in all aspects of security research and development
