The team

The Product Infrastructure team focuses on performance, monitoring, stability, and security of Dialpad’s Talk, Contact Center, and Sell products. Through design and implementing tools and processes across our cloud infrastructure and Dialpad product backend, this backend product engineering team is key to creating a stable, secure and performant experience for a large volume of concurrent users. Whether reducing time to ring, or bolstering our most utilized APIs, the Product Infrastructure team works with other engineering peers on application uptime to ensure that calling and messaging works smoothly for our users all the time. 

Every engineer on our global Engineering team is given the opportunity to take ownership of a large portion of the product where they’re able to see immediate results. Combining natural language processing and artificial intelligence with world-class cloud computing, the things you’ll create at Dialpad will shape the future of work—enabling companies to work from anywhere and making business communication more human.

Your role

As a  Software Engineer, you’ll own the Product Infrastructure roadmap to build / support / maintain common infrastructure supporting the whole Product Eng Org (100+ Engineers). Your impactful work helps improve: Dialpad’s customer experience, reduce infrastructure costs, Security, Scalability.

This position reports to our Product Infrastructure Engineering Manager and has the opportunity to be based in our LATAM offices.

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • Meet your manager and onboarding buddy who will help you ramp up.
  • Get to know a highly communicative and collaborative engineering team .
  • Complete the comprehensive engineering onboarding program (including training videos and documentation on the codebase).
  • Work on starter projects to get comfortable working with the Dialpad codebase. Starter projects are done across all teams, and will help ramp you up on all aspects including: frontend, backend, and architecture.

In your first 60 days:

  • Ramp up through educational starter projects within the Product Infrastructure team
  • Receive mentorship and code reviews from your peers who love to work together, talk through projects, and actively help each other overcome roadblocks

In your first 6 months:

  • Develop deeper understanding of our product infrastructure which includes monitoring using Datadog, Stackdriver metrics, querying using BigQuery and our product codebase
  • You’ll begin working on impactful and educational starter projects within the product infrastructure engineering team. For example: Identify amp; Analyze top 3 highly loaded Apis, find the performance bottlenecks, propose areas of improvement, make gradual improvements in each sprint.

After 6 months:

  • You’ll have a deeper understanding of how engineering works at Dialpad so that you can work on more complex and challenging projects.
  • You’ll work not just on performance, but features within the product engineering codebase to promote reuse of common components and influence common implementations. For example:implement (MultiFactorAuth) in our login flow, remove dependency of google bundle services in product eng code base, develop tools / dashboards to save infrastructure costs.
  • Continue contributing to fun projects meant to delight users!

One year and beyond:

  • You’ll learn how to do code reviews and mentor other engineers in your team and beyond.
  • You’ll help the team measure code performance and build solutions that make all code more efficient.
  • You’ll work closely with engineers across the organization to eliminate their biggest performance and cost bottlenecks.

About the team
Dialpad’s Integrations team plays an essential role in developing a robust layer of integrations that seamlessly connect Dialpad's core features with external SaaS offerings, including CRM, Ticketing systems, and Workforce Management platforms, among others. Our end-to-end products deliver intelligent workflow integrations with various business applications such as Salesforce, Slack, ServiceNow, Okta, and more. Your role
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Integrations team, you will develop and maintain Dialpad’s Integration applications using modern technologies. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products.

This position reports to our Senior Manager, who is based in India, and is looking for the first person to join her team in our Argentina Office. Preferred working hours would be 8 to 5pm ART.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain Dialpad’s Integration applications using modern technologies.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using best practices along with unit tests.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Ensure that features are shipped on time and with the highest quality.
  • Take up on-call activities to support and resolve the issues coming from the QA and the Customers

  • 6-10 years of experience in Full-stack software engineering.

About the team

You will help foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making, and define best practices that enable the team to iterate and learn in increasingly tight feedback loops. You're equally as comfortable shipping user-facing experiences as you are writing custom queries to analyze experiment results.

This position reports to our Growth Engineering Manager  and has the opportunity to be based in our LATAM  Office.

What you will achieve

We are seeking an accomplished team player with demonstrated program management experience to join our technical program management team within the Engineering division. Responsibilities  

  • Own all aspects of managing the program that includes planning and execution for building a scalable, reliable, and high quality business communications product suite.
  • Partner closely with engineering managers, product managers, software engineers, product designers, QA and leadership to gather requirements, plan amp; manage efforts to release software features and products to our customers.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with other teams both inside and outside of the engineering organization, ensuring that requirements are well understood, and that priorities and release schedule expectations are managed across all stakeholders. 
  • Build and run processes that allow for the maximum agility and adaptation across engineering teams while measuring and maintaining the highest possible product quality
  • Brainstorm and communicate technical concepts, ideas and issues at the appropriate level of abstraction to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and partners.
  • Be comfortable wearing many hats and able to work in an agile environment with changing priorities and critical deadlines, we move very fast!

Requirements 

  • 6+ years of experience in technical project/program management or relevant ownership of software products in an engineering or product organization.
  • Experience translating product requirements into program/project plans; including managing scope, dependencies, schedule, risks and provide executive level status reporting.
  • Comfortable in communicating technical specifications for APIs, events, data models, authentication, and provisioning across developers both inside and outside Dialpad.
  • Experience working with third party companies and customer stakeholders, partners and /or vendor management systems for software delivery on modern software products/platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience working closely with locally present product/development teams while collaborating with a global leadership team across multiple time zones to drive project outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal amp; written communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with engineers and presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Deep understanding of the software product development lifecycle and collaborate with the global TPM team in driving process improvements to help improve engineering organization’s productivity as a whole.
  • Prior experience in Enterprise SaaS space with certification in Program Management or Project Management is a plus

The Product Infrastructure team focuses on performance, monitoring, stability, and security of Dialpad’s Talk, Contact Center, and Sell products. Through design and implementing tools and processes across our cloud infrastructure and Dialpad product backend, this backend product engineering team is key to creating a stable, secure and performant experience for a large volume of concurrent users. Whether reducing time to ring, or bolstering our most utilized APIs, the Product Infrastructure team works with other engineering peers on application uptime to ensure that calling and messaging works smoothly for our users all the time.

Your role

As a  Software Engineer, you’ll own the Product Infrastructure roadmap to build / support / maintain common infrastructure supporting the whole Product Eng Org (100+ Engineers). Your impactful work helps improve: Dialpad’s customer experience, reduce infrastructure costs, Security, Scalability.

This position reports to our Product Infrastructure Engineering Manager and has the opportunity to be based in our LATAM offices.

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • Meet your manager and onboarding buddy who will help you ramp up.
  • Get to know a highly communicative and collaborative engineering team .
  • Complete the comprehensive engineering onboarding program (including training videos and documentation on the codebase).
  • Work on starter projects to get comfortable working with the Dialpad codebase. Starter projects are done across all teams, and will help ramp you up on all aspects including: frontend, backend, and architecture.

In your first 60 days:

  • Ramp up through educational starter projects within the Product Infrastructure team
  • Receive mentorship and code reviews from your peers who love to work together, talk through projects, and actively help each other overcome roadblocks

In your first 6 months:

  • Develop deeper understanding of our product infrastructure which includes monitoring using Datadog, Stackdriver metrics, querying using BigQuery and our product codebase
  • You’ll begin working on impactful and educational starter projects within the product infrastructure engineering team. For example: Identify amp; Analyze top 3 highly loaded Apis, find the performance bottlenecks, propose areas of improvement, make gradual improvements in each sprint.

After 6 months:

  • You’ll have a deeper understanding of how engineering works at Dialpad so that you can work on more complex and challenging projects.
  • You’ll work not just on performance, but features within the product engineering codebase to promote reuse of common components and influence common implementations. For example:implement (MultiFactorAuth) in our login flow, remove dependency of google bundle services in product eng code base, develop tools / dashboards to save infrastructure costs.
  • Continue contributing to fun projects meant to delight users!

One year and beyond:

  • You’ll learn how to do code reviews and mentor other engineers in your team and beyond.
  • You’ll help the team measure code performance and build solutions that make all code more efficient.
  • You’ll work closely with engineers across the organization to eliminate their biggest performance and cost bottlenecks.

Dialpad is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join its Global Payroll Team in a high-growth AI tech company. You will play a critical role, providing employee payroll support globally, and ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely through processing of payroll batches, reconciliations and other payroll tasks as assigned. You are detailed-oriented, and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. You have exceptional communication skills, pride yourself on high customer service to internal employees, and have the ability to jump right into payroll operations with minimal supervision. You will report to the Global Payroll Manager in a remote or hybrid role (location dependent). 

Position responsibilities:

  • Process, prepare and reconcile US and Canada payroll, including for variable compensation, off-cycle payroll, terminations and ad-hoc payments as needed. 
  • Directly assist employees and managers in payroll-related education, questions or issues.
  • Support in system integrations between the People and payroll systems to ensure accurate and complete data. 
  • Partner with People Operations, Finance, Treasury and other departments on ongoing process improvements.
  • Monitor Time amp; Attendance timesheets and processing for non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance for US and Canada employees. 
  • Work with third-party vendors (e.g. ADP,Unified Global) to create payroll cases and process off-cycle adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist with external audits (e.g. year-end financial audit, 401(k), workers’ compensation) through providing supporting records and documentation.
  • Assist with year-end W2 reconciliation and reporting. 
  • Maintain organized and detailed payroll records, and ensure all payroll data and changes are accurately and completely reflected in the payroll system.
  • Register new State/SUI/Local payroll tax, and enter new tax jurisdictions into payroll systems.
  • Keep informed of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Process benefits contributions (e.g. HSA, DSA, FSA, commuter), monitor for changes and reconcile data to ensure benefits statements reconcile to payroll deductions.
  • Resolve payroll issues independently through research, analysis, knowledge of best practices and proposal of reasonable solutions.
  • Assist in international payroll as needed and other payroll related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 8 years direct payroll experience processing US multi-state and Canadian payroll 
  • Solid experience using ADP Workforce Now 
  • Experience with accounting, tax and finance concepts relating to payroll.

About the team

Your role

The Senior Accountant will be a part of the team responsible for full cycle general ledger accounting. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, preparing journal entries and reconciling account balances for cash, accrued expenses, prepaids, credit card liabilities, leases, intangible assets, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts as assigned. The Senior Accountant will assist the Accounting Manager with oversight of day-to-day accounting operations and managing key financial functions to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.

What you'll do

  • Perform month-end close activities, such as preparing journal entries, accruals, and analyses in accordance with US GAAP
  • Evaluate the sufficiency of accruals at period end through critical consideration of balances, trends and FP amp;A and business-owner input
  • Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for asset amp; liability accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintain outstanding documentation for all prepared journals and reconciliations and gather supporting files for annual audit 
  • Provide explanations for monthly and quarterly fluctuations for balance sheet and expense accounts related to general ledger accounts
  • Prepare schedules necessary for financial reporting disclosures
  • Contribute to the development of accounting policies and standard operating procedures
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and internal controls
  • Build relationships with cross-functional team members by providing timely responses to questions, issues, and updates
  • Perform other accounting duties and supporting other team members as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience in industry and public accounting 
  • Experience with full cycle accounting and month-end close

Dialpad’s Product Engineering organization is responsible for building and maintaining the customer-facing features at scale across all of our cloud native products and services: Talk, Contact Center, Sales Dialer, Video Conferencing, and Voice Intelligence.

What you will achieve

We are seeking an accomplished team player with demonstrated program management experience to join our technical program management team within the Engineering division. This is a fast-paced workplace where individual drive, innovation, and team collaboration are the keys to success. You will work closely with design, product, engineering teams and partners worldwide to shape the roadmap, build new features, and ship software releases to millions of users.

You will be a key member of the TPM team and will contribute to the success of the Engineering organization at large. Responsibilities  

  • Own all aspects of managing the program that includes planning and execution for building a scalable, reliable, and high quality business communications product suite.
  • Partner closely with engineering managers, product managers, software engineers, product designers, QA and leadership to gather requirements, plan amp; manage efforts to release software features and products to our customers.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with other teams both inside and outside of the engineering organization, ensuring that requirements are well understood, and that priorities and release schedule expectations are managed across all stakeholders. 
  • Build and run processes that allow for the maximum agility and adaptation across engineering teams while measuring and maintaining the highest possible product quality
  • Brainstorm and communicate technical concepts, ideas and issues at the appropriate level of abstraction to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and partners.
  • Be comfortable wearing many hats and able to work in an agile environment with changing priorities and critical deadlines, we move very fast!

Requirements 

  • 6+ years of experience in technical project/program management or relevant ownership of software products in an engineering or product organization.
  • Experience translating product requirements into program/project plans; including managing scope, dependencies, schedule, risks and provide executive level status reporting.
  • Comfortable in communicating technical specifications for APIs, events, data models, authentication, and provisioning across developers both inside and outside Dialpad.
  • Experience working with third party companies and customer stakeholders, partners and /or vendor management systems for software delivery on modern software products/platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience working closely with locally present product/development teams while collaborating with a global leadership team across multiple time zones to drive project outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal amp; written communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with engineers and presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Deep understanding of the software product development lifecycle and collaborate with the global TPM team in driving process improvements to help improve engineering organization’s productivity as a whole.
  • Prior experience in Enterprise SaaS space with certification in Program Management or Project Management is a plus

You enjoy diving deep into the technology, with a track record of shipping complex, multi-functional projects under demanding timelines. Someone with excellent written and interpersonal skills who pays attention to the details and is highly organized. Has experience running a complex set of software deliverables with many interdependencies and has a successful track record being a great partner within teams and across organizations in engineering, design, and leadership. You can balance resets and changes and respond quickly, without being discouraged. Your ability to capture requirements, build connections, anticipate challenges and get projects to launch will be necessary for success.

You have unshakable integrity and are as comfortable speaking to executives in open forums as you are with discussing a burn down chart with a team member. About the team
Dialpad’s Engineering Productivity team is responsible for making our own engineers more productive. This means owning tooling and automation that enhances testability, code quality, and reduces overhead in getting things done.

Your role

Your role

About the team

The Telephony Platform team maintains a complex set of APIs and microservices that provide the backbone for real-time communication in our products.  On the Telephony Quality team, you play an essential role in testing the complex systems that support our products.  We work cross-functionally and across projects, collaborating closely with developers and product managers to positively impact the quality and performance of the platform. 

Your role

Dialpad’s Software Developer In Test is a skilled developer adept at building scalable test frameworks. A passionate quality leader with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of guiding a team to the automation paradise. You will be building and maintaining system-level testing frameworks, including but not limited to API, Load, and functional product testing.  You will lead design decisions and work closely with other senior developers.

  • Design and develop flexible test frameworks to increase developer confidence.
  • Lots of test cases and client/service simulation development in Python.

Skills you’ll bring

  • Strong programming experience in any top language, such as Python or Java
  • Strong experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks.

  • Direct experience applying testing methodologies, including regression, integration, load and performance testing.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, including the testing of REST services.
  • Strong people skills as you'll work with other teams in different geographies.
  • Relevant experience working with RTP or SIP services is ideal.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Virtual Servers
