Dialpad’s Product Engineering organization is responsible for building and maintaining the customer-facing features at scale across all of our cloud native products and services: Talk, Contact Center, Sales Dialer, Video Conferencing, and Voice Intelligence.

As an Engineering Manager, in this high impact role, you will lead, grow, and nurture the software engineering team(s) that own end-to-end customer experience by collaborating with other leaders at Dialpad. What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • You'll experience our comprehensive onboarding and learn about Dialpad's culture amp; values
  • Work closely with your mentor to set up your development environment and learn about our products and our software development processes, workflows and tools
  • Get to know the Product Engineering teams and your new direct reports including their career aspirations and identifying key development areas for your team 
  • Start building cross functional relationships with your engineering management peers as well as Product, Design amp; QA teams

In your first 6 months: 

  • You’ll have direct reports ranging from junior-level to highly experienced engineers, and will support their performance and career growth through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring
  • Define, prioritize and execute product development discussions and map functional requirements, product roadmaps to technical designs and project schedules
  • Evaluate architecture choices on an ongoing basis, in anticipation of increased scale and ever-evolving technology to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business needs
  • Work with geographically distributed  peer engineering managers to align engineering-wide priorities
  • Drive effective engineering processes and policies
  • Scale the team by recruiting candidates from diverse backgrounds

Who you are

Highly empathetic, collaborative, and with an ego-free approach to leadership, you are an experienced people manager who works highly collaboratively with stakeholders and domain experts across the company to design solutions to user problems. You don’t shy away from performance conversations, recognizing the relationship between constructive feedback and career growth. You’ll develop our current teams and hire additional engineers, empower them to have an owner mentality in their roles, and continually foster an environment for team members to feel psychologically safe to contribute ideas and interact with peers. 

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in solving large and complex technical challenges, with the ability to make decisions swiftly and thoughtfully
  • 0-3+ years’ experience leading a high-performing team of engineers, including managing and shipping cross-functional or multi-team projects
  • Keen product sense and an exceptional track record for delivery, as well as a demonstrated background of innovation and/or influential impact
  • Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience architecting, designing and developing high quality customer facing software applications
  • You love working on complicated software architectures of high concurrency and scale, preferably in SaaS and web environments

Who you are

As a trusted and experienced senior front end engineer on the Call Experience team, you will own significant user-facing features and tackle technical challenges and enrich the team through your engineering experience including mentorship of junior engineers. You will lead projects with multiple engineers collaborating to deliver a major feature. You will work collaboratively in a cross functional team, including working closely with Product Managers in advocating for technical initiatives for the team and the Product Engineering organization.

What we're looking for

  • Experience building real-time highly interactive user experiences on the web. Applications whose very nature is asynchronous. Things that we used to think could only be done with native applications: e.g. video conferencing, calling, video editing, graphics design, document editing, collaboration, webinars, 
  • Passion and skills building user experience with minimal input from product designers. Comfort building something complex and beautiful--including the interactive time dimension--from simple mockups.
  • Proven skills at performance tuning complex, client-heavy web apps.
  • Demonstrated comfort working across the client-server boundary as necessary to deliver the best experience.
  • Expertise in advanced web APIs such as WebRTC, Canvas, WebGL, and Wasm is valued 
  • Evidence that you thrive in a nimble startup environment that emphasizes complete end-to-end ownership for things you ship.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience doing everything above.

We are currently recruiting for a Service Desk Engineer to join us our ever-growing Service Desk team on our exciting journey!

Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader, you will handle and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, application issues and basic network and server troubleshooting with administration.

You will be required to communicate effectively with the client and manage technical queries in line with Littlefish standards and customer-specific SLA’s.



You will also be;
  • Resolving 1st and 2nd line technical issues over the telephone, via email, or live chat, in a friendly and professional manner for Littlefish customers
  • Prioritising, progressing and monitoring IT incidents and requests to ensure they are resolved within the agreed timescales
  • Working on specific IT projects for customers as directed by the Service Management team
  • Any other responsibilities at the line managers discretion

About the team 

Instrumental in the success and retention of Dialpad customers, our Customer Success teams are the backbone of our company.  The CS organization is responsible for delivering the absolute highest levels of satisfaction and success in the deployment and overall customer journey phases. What you will achieve

You will be responsible for managing our existing partners as well as recruiting and onboarding new regional partnerships to drive indirect sales in your designated territory.

In your first 30 days.. 

  • You’ll attend Base Camp, Dialpad’s extensive onboarding and training program to get you up to speed on all things Dialpad and the UCaaS/CCaaS industry
  • You will become certified in presenting Dialpad presentations and product demonstrations.
  • You’ll work closely with your manager and the regional channel manager to build out a business plan to nurture and grow your designated territory
  • You’ll spend time with our Channel Marketing team to understand what resources are available to use both internally and externally to support your channel partners
  • You’ll spend time with Channel Enablement and become trained on our Dialpad Partner Portal 
  • You will meet with our National Channel Directors to understand the partner ecosystem

  • You’re now involved with the interview process for SDRs and help make hiring decisions for all teams within the org

Instrumental in the success and retention of Dialpad customers, our Customer Success team is the backbone of our company. Using your problem-solving skills and inherent motivation to help others, you will delight and assist our customers from their first call to their last (if there is one!).

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days, you’ll: 

  • Attend BaseCamp, our Revenue Org onboarding program, where you’ll learn all about our company, product, internal systems, and CS approach.
  • Work closely with your manager and teammates to get up to speed on all things CS: processes, tool set, customer base, etc.
  • Get to know cross-functional partners that we work with most frequently, like Sales, Professional Services, Product, Support, and AR.
  • Head into month 2 with a solid grasp of where to go to find the right answers to customer questions.

In your first 60 days, you’ll: 

  • Familiarize yourself with your book of business using qualitative and quantitative data and begin getting introduced to your customers by your teammates.
  • Establish a regular cadence with your customers to stay aligned on business goals, product updates, etc.
  • Manage upcoming renewals and forecast renewals for the next quarter to ensure predictability for the business.
  • Dig into the product more and more as you receive specific questions from your customers - this is when everything really starts to click!

By 90 days, you’ll:

  • Start conducting Business Reviews with customers to demonstrate value, get to know key stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lean into your role as the “voice of the customer” within Dialpad by funneling feedback from your customers to Product and others.
  • Oversee your customers’ adoption, training, and development of best practices to continually drive incremental value and ROI.
  • Manage escalations by documenting open issues, facilitating regular status meetings, and working cross-functionally to resolution. 
  • Track accounts to identify churn risks and work proactively to mitigate those risks.

Who you are

First and foremost, you love working with customers and helping them realize value by achieving (or exceeding!) their goals. With several years of CS experience under your belt, you’re known as an excellent communicator, confident meeting facilitator, and cross-functional collaborator. Picking up new technology skills excites you, and even though you might not know much about cloud telephony right now, the idea of learning the ins and outs of Dialpad gets you pumped. The role 

Dialpad is looking for an Office Administrator to join our San Ramon office. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our office a positive, welcoming and productive environment. You’ll also get the chance to interact with all levels of staff and various customers and clients.

This person is a highly talented, positive energy, full-time employee who will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. This individual will report to the BSOM, to the CFO working closely with our IT managers, to deliver a highly professional world headquarters experience.  The individual is expected to be at Dialpad’s San Ramon office on all normal workdays, except during flexible time off periods or when traveling for business.  In some instances, this individual will need to work out of Dialpad’s San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

The office administrator  is a key role at Dialpad and is integral to the company’s success.

In-Office duties:

  • Greet and provide general support to visitors
  • Assist in new hire set up 
  • Daily lunch catering 
  • Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies; order and distribute office supplies as necessary
  • Run errands as required (picking up mail, ordering supplies, employee keycards, delivering mail and packages to employees, etc.)
  • Assist with on-site/off-site event planning and execution
  • Identify projects and areas that will improve or add to productivity
  • Become the “resident expert” for use of Dialpad’s best-in-class Ai communications and collaboration platform
  • Travel occasionally to Dialpad or customer events
  • Partner with facilities on interiors initiatives that improve the professionalism of our offices

Leadership Support:

  • Assist the CFO and other executives as needed and as time allows 
  • Work closely with Dialpad’s BSOMs, and EAs
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly QBR’s, Board, and Audit meetings
  • Work with HR to design and execute charitable and other ESG initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination of charitable team activities for the SF Bay Area employees
  • Work with Dialpad Business Technology staff as required to ensure optimal operation of office equipment with preventive maintenance and 100% uptime for all key functionality (network, printing, etc.)
  • Maintain on-line and physical files
  • Manage expense report

Who You Are

The ideal candidate should be a highly organized, quick learner who can multitask to meet multiple, competing project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They will have a calm demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, an enthusiastic and positive attitude, and an excellent, can-do work ethic.  Someone who can tackle any task with grit. 

  • 3+ years of office and/or customer support experience necessary

Who you are

As a trusted and experienced senior front end engineer on the Call Experience team, you will own significant user-facing features and tackle technical challenges and enrich the team through your engineering experience including mentorship of junior engineers. You will lead projects with multiple engineers collaborating to deliver a major feature. You will work collaboratively in a cross functional team, including working closely with Product Managers in advocating for technical initiatives for the team and the Product Engineering organization.

  • Experience building real-time highly interactive user experiences on the web. Applications whose very nature is asynchronous. What you will achieve

As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you are a key part of the Dialpad Sales organization, uncovering, managing, and converting 50-1000 employee businesses to excited customers!

In your first 30 days: 

  • You’ll work closely with our Sales Enablement team to get up to speed on our products, space, sales motions, and GTM strategy during your first three weeks.
  • You’ll engage with supporting departments (ex. Deal Desk, Professional Services, Sales Engineering, etc) to learn how they interact with Sales and impact your ability to be successful in your role
  • You’ll work with your Manager to identify the appropriate metrics that you’ll be held accountable for 
  • You’ll jump into and familiarize yourself with Dialpad’s tech stack and understand how to properly utilize the many tools available to you during your prospecting and deal management (i.e. Outreach, SFDC, ZoomInfo) 
  • Your manager will provide you with the relevant tools and guidance to begin building your territory plan to begin prospecting/building pipeline 
  • You’ll begin making your first calls with the expectation to schedule your first New Logo discovery call one week following your onboarding training (approx. 4 weeks)
  • You’ll meet regularly with your mentor/buddy who is a veteran AE to model what success looks like and what it takes to be a top performer

In your first 60 days: 

  • You’ll develop a dynamic understanding of the key competitors in the space so that you can create unique talking points to impact initial deals
  • You’ll gain granular insight into our key differentiators so that you can hold meaningful conversations with potential clients
  • We’ll get you up to speed on our Sales Methodology and the proper steps in execution so you maintain the highest level of conversion in your deals

The team

With eyes set on our master vision, our Product team provides Dialpad and the communications industry with a clear direction. As a member of the Product organization, you will shape and design the products and features that will define the future of work and business communication using your innate curiosity and a strong sense of strategy.

In this particular Product Management role you will help shape the future of the communications and collaboration industry by leading our Ai feature development. Over the past number of years, Dialpad has made heavy investments in in-house AI technology (ie, speech recognition and NLP / NLU) and developed industry first features such as real-time transcriptions, Ai-CSAT (inferred customer satisfaction based on conversations), Agent Assist (recommended answers to questions), and more. We’re looking for a product leader to help us leverage our proprietary technology to enhance conversations across our platform. If you’re eager to work with bleeding edge technology and an expert team to drive insights from conversations, automate workflows, and unlock the power of voice as a dataset and input — this is your chance! What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • Develop expertise in the Dialpad Developer Platform’s capabilities, as well a the most highly used integrations that leverage this platform
  • Establish strong working relationships with key counterparts in Engineering, Design, Partnerships, and Sales.
  • Learn amp; apply existing team processes on developing product specifications, iterating with design and technical leadership, and managing development, testing amp; delivery
  • By the end of your first month, you’ll be the primary point of contact for internal queries relating to our platform amp; integrations.

In your first 60 days: 

  • Be able to identify product amp; technical issues, and actively develop and track solutions.
  • Develop relationships with key customers amp; partners using our platform, and foster a constructive feedback loop between these parties and Dialpad.
  • Deliver increasingly complex features and improvements, leading short-term planning and resource management to execute on our roadmap
  • Measure and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, including product KPIs, feature adoption, customer needs and business opportunities, to inform and support product decisions and guide prioritization
  • Manage new features and regular release through the full project lifecycle, including communication of regular updates to cross-functional teams, and ongoing support after launch
  • By the end of your second month, you’ll own delivery of features and experiences from conception to launch, working closely with Engineering amp; Design to define simple, elegant integration experiences, while representing our customers in the development process.

By 90 days: 

  • Lead quarterly planning efforts for the Platform amp; Integrations team.
  • Own long-term product strategy for the Developer Platform, including both enhancing the platform’s capabilities, delivering strategic integration experiences when necessary, and helping to foster a healthy and active ecosystem of developer partners.
  • Lead by example within the product team, and be proactive about helping our team improve the ways we work with each other and our colleagues

Who you are

You are a creative, passionate and experienced Product Manager with 5+ years of experience, and a demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional product experiences in the Contact Center space. You learn by doing, love tackling as-of-yet unsolved problems, and take an analytical approach to arriving at the best solution. You have an entrepreneurial, goal-driven mindset, and are comfortable in an agile environment. You have excellent communication skills, and can act as a bridge between product, engineering, design, QA, marketing, and sales.

The team

Every engineer on our global Engineering team is given the opportunity to take ownership of a large portion of the product where they’re able to see immediate results. The Product Engineering, Call Features team is focused on the control of the call and provides a stable platform for the Talk and Contact Center applications to be built on top of. An interface between Product Engineering applications like Talk (Phones, departments) and Contact Center (call centers, coaching teams, sales centers) and the Telephony platform (bare metal, SIP, media transport), Call Features provide important features such as fan-outs to member of a department, queuing logic for inbound call centers, routing of calls via IVRs or Voice, local presence enabling dialing out from the local area code of the call recipient, Coaching Teams for listening in and live mentorship, monitoring, and more.

The backend engineering work of the Call Features team is central to complex debugging of a distributed system using Google App Engine logging and custom tooling, and is critical to Dialpad managing a high volume of concurrent calls.

Who you are

As an experienced backend engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of challenging technical problem solving and making varied contributions to Call Features, ranging from building features of a robust live system beginning with unit tests, identifying issues and engaging in investigative debugging, building tooling, and conveying relevant metrics up to dashboards such as Datadog, and Google Stackdriver. You will be responsible for managing our existing partners as well as recruiting and onboarding new regional partnerships to drive indirect sales in your designated territory. 

You will become a subject matter expert on Dialpad and all our products, leveraging your expertise to educate, train and capture mindshare with our partners. Our channel managers are instrumental in growing company revenue so you’ll be working closely with partners and our sales team to source new business opportunities and achieve revenue goals.

Skills you’ll bring 

We are looking for individuals who are goal oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven sales environment. You are a natural people person with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence your audience through presentations, training and product demonstrations. The ideal candidate will possess the personal drive to deliver what needs to get done and have a proven track record of over achieving sales quota and pipeline goals.

  • 3-5+ years Channel Account Management experience on-boarding channel partners for a software company in the enterprise software space
  • Recent experience working for an emerging tech company
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with recruiting partners, value-added resellers and Master/Sub Agencies
  • Has met/exceeded own direct sales goals
  • Must show proven methodology to prospect and build pipeline

The team

Our Data Analysis team works alongside the Data Annotation team to support the Ai teams, working on projects on cutting-edge Automatic Speech Recognition(ASR), Natural Language Processing(NLP) and Computer Vision(CV). The Data Analysis team takes care of the complex business and product logic as well as making sure the data follows our security and privacy standards letting our applied scientists focus on model development. We also build data pipelines and infrastructure and adopt software engineering best practices.

  • We are responsible for developing a customer-facing BI product which offers data insights to our customers.
  • We are a group of engineers who enjoy writing reports to tell the stories behind the data, which often spin up new data science ideas and help businesses to make better decisions.

The analysis you will be asked to do will be like nothing you have ever done before! These are some actual questions that the team has investigated recently:

  • How much more effective are customer support agents in organizations that have enabled our Ai features?
  • Can we identify existing customers who might be willing to be beta testers for our new Spanish speech recognition?
  • What are some improvements we could make to our Australian English speech recognition?
  • Why do our metrics show that Australian English speakers are both happier and more frustrated?
  • Using customer ratings of our transcripts, can we identify USA regions that we should focus on improving?
  • How often do customers call a call centre and then call again with the same issue?
  • Does the amount of time a customer is put on hold affect their rating of the customer service experience?

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • You will be onboarded and introduced to our Ai teams, meeting our talented applied scientists, ASR engineers and data engineers.
  • You will get familiar with our in-house tools and tech stacks, including Git, BigQuery, Terraform, Google Cloud Platform(GCP), Looker, Amplitude, DOMO
  • You will get familiar with the data infrastructure and the database in Ai teams
  • By the end of your first month, you will have resolved one ticket for Ai team’s data need

In your first 60 days: 

  • You will learn more about Dialpad’s product and business concepts/logic and be able to answer questions using SQL query
  • You will have good understanding of how the ASR, NLP models work and what their development lifecycles look like
  • You will have built one ETL pipeline for data science development
  • You will have started maintaining our data analytic infrastructure and pipelines 
  • You will have submitted a PR on our repo and made updates to our BI product

By 90 days: 

  • You will have done a knowledge-sharing session for the awesome analysis you did
  • You will be the go-to person for answering questions about data science data and product data
  • You will have taken on ownership of one project and been responsible for the whole project lifecycle
  • You will have built relationships with people across departments in Dialpad, from Ai, product engineering to marketing, PM, legal and security team
  • You will have started reviewing your peer's work and giving constructive feedback
  • You will have identified one area of improvement(automation/data infrastructure) and come up with a long term plan

Who you are

You have an analytical mind and are not scared by the complex product logic and unstructured data from multiple sources. You are passionate about telling stories behind the data, whether it’s structured data or unstructured data like text and audio. You know statistics well and can design experiments to validate your hypothesis. You enjoy solving SQL puzzles and won’t stop optimizing your queries. 

You communicate well verbally and visually(via data visualization). You can understand a complex technical term and explain it to both technical and non-technical audiences. You work with multi-disciplinary teams and won’t shy away from reaching out to other departments. You have experience coaching junior engineers. 

You enjoy doing data analysis and experiments and also have experience doing them in a rigorous way by building ETL pipelines and adopting version control, documentation and CI/CD practices. You take data security and privacy very seriously and always take measures to protect the data you work with. 

You are a lifelong learner, you are always finding new ways to solve problems and adopting new tools to optimize the work.
