The Opportunity

As an Elixir Telephony Engineer at Telnyx, you will create and deploy groundbreaking applications that are part of the Telnyx Telephony platform. Projects often start with a kickstart question and our Engineers lead the way in developing a solution, from high-level system design and prototyping to application development and data integration. As a Telnyx software engineer, you leverage everything around you: Telnyx products, open source technologies, and anything you and your team can build to drive real impact.

 

You work with users around the globe, where you help our customers by solving their communications challenges. Each mission presents different challenges, from the regulatory environment to the nature of the data to the user population. You will work to accommodate all aspects of an environment to drive real technical outcomes.

You Will:

  • Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Telnyx’s telephony engineering teams.

  • Work with engineers across the company to build new telephony features at large-scale.

  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

  • Identify, optimize and resolve issues related to latency, scalability, and performance of core telephony infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

  • Have 2+ years of professional software development experience with Elixir programming language.

  • Have deep knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and anti-patterns.

  • Understand the challenges inherent in concurrent and distributed programming.

  • Experience working with Docker.

Your role

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who will help elevate Dialpad’s overall look and feel and customer experience by helping build and mature our design system, Dialtone. What you’ll do

  • Design for Delight and Quality
    You’ll oversee the design of high-quality styles, components, and patterns, and foster a sense of ownership from your team throughout the process. You will bring your experience in creating and maintaining style and component libraries in both design and code form. You're at home building out Figma components as well as authoring its HTML/CSS equivalent. Your front-end engineering experience can be characterized as “front of the front-end.”
  • Leading By Design
    Though Dialtone serves both designers and engineers, it all starts with the end user’s experience. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and heavily influence how Dialtone and the design system team mature to take on large, high-visibility initiatives, as well as how other designers and engineers contribute.
  • Tooling and documentation
    Lead the strategy and creation of resources, tools, and documentation to support Dialtone users — designers and engineers alike. Build up a growing prototyping practice by identifying design- and code-based skills and technologies to ship high-quality outcomes faster.
  • Product Management
    Manage Design System backlog, roadmap, priorities, scope, and tasking for design system features, documentation, and communication channels. Foster cross-functional relationships and evangelize design system adoption. You will also be providing design leadership and guidance to teams around using shared patterns and identifying opportunities to create new patterns and components within their workstreams.

Skills you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of related experience, 3+ years of design system experience and/or leading design projects.
  • Proven understanding of how to build, architect, and evangelize design systems.
  • Have a deep understanding of interaction design, heuristics, Gestalt principles, usability, and accessibility best practices.
  • You have designed and documented styles, components, and patterns that enable other designers and developers to build features.
  • Strong experience in managing style and component libraries (e.g. Figma, Sketch), and work hard to align its component API with their coded counterparts.

In your first 30 days: 

  • Attend BaseCamp, our Revenue Org onboarding program, where you’ll learn all about our company, product, internal systems, and CS approach.

  • Familiarize yourself with your book of business using qualitative and quantitative data and begin getting introduced to your customers by your teammates.

  • Manage upcoming renewals and forecast renewals for the next quarter to ensure predictability for the business.
  • Dig into the product more and more as you receive specific questions from your customers - this is when everything really starts to click!

By 90 days: 

  • Start conducting Business Reviews with customers to demonstrate value, get to know key stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities.

About the team 

Instrumental in the success and retention of Dialpad customers, our Customer Success teams are the backbone of our company.  The CS organization is responsible for delivering the absolute highest levels of satisfaction and success in the deployment and overall customer journey phases. Your role 

As the Manager of MidMarket Customer Success you will be focused on driving initiatives related to reducing churn and down-sell, and driving growth in our small business customer base. You will lead a team of Customer Success Representatives in a one-to-many, high touch environment. You will help develop strategies to engage with at risk customers to improve outcomes. You will be responsible for reporting team statistics and performance results to other members of the leadership team and executive staff.  The Manager of MidMarket Customer Success is a member of the Customer Success organization and will report directly to the Senior Manager, MidMarket, Customer Success.

  • Lead a high performance Customer Success team focused on higher touch engagement

About the team

Your role

  • Support Dialpad’s Sales team and Commercial Legal teams by consulting on negotiation positions for Data Protection Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, and other privacy-related commercial agreements and provisions.

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • License in good standing to practice law

  • Work closely with our in-house attorneys and operations team to manage the contract review process for a variety of vendor and commercial contracts, including Software as a Service (SaaS), services agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, and NDAs, including the intake, review, negotiation, and completion of agreements.
  • Draft, revise, and negotiate contracts as well as provide recommendations to business partners, balancing the company’s risks and needs at all times.
  • Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, and general contractual questions.
  • Enforce (and improve, where appropriate) the company’s contract review and management policies, including contract playbooks.
  • Work closely with different stakeholders such as Finance, Privacy (privacy / GDPR / CCPA related clauses), and Security to address specialized contract issues.

Dialpad’s Data Analysts bring together business expertise and advanced analytics skills to enable business teams to identify improvement opportunities that translate into new opportunities and experiments.  In this role, you’ll combine research, data science, data storytelling and experimental design (i.e A/B Testing) to create insights that contribute to the business team’s resolution making process.

Your Role

As a Senior Growth Data Analyst, you’ll own the advanced analytics roadmap to support the growth product and marketing team. You’ll work closely with Product Managers and Marketing Managers to plan experiments and perform exploratory data analysis to understand the drivers of the team’s key performance indicators. You’ll also help create predictive models in diverse scenarios (e.g cross sell models, adoption models, churn models, etc.). In addition, you’ll help bring awareness to the features that should be prioritized in each Product and Marketing sprint. 

This position reports to our AVP Director of Analytics and has the opportunity to be based in Vancouver, Canada. 

What you’ll do 

  • Own the advanced analytics roadmap to support the business team
  • Organize weekly reviews of product and marketing initiatives related to growth and make data drive recommendations. 
  • Make proactive suggestions on flow improvements based on the findings from running exploratory data analysis and experiments
  • Drive A/B testing design and result review process
  • Partner with Product Managers to design experiments and monitor the impacts on existing KPIs. You are also expected to suggest the creation of new KPIs as needed

Skills you’ll bring 

  • 6+ years of experience as Data Analyst or relevant position
  • Experience using user behavior analytics tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel for at least 2 years
  • Fluent in SQL (i.e able to join data from multiple sources to create a dataset that can then be assessed)
  • Familiar with Python in building predictive models
  • Fluent with data and visualization technologies 
  • Experience with descriptive and inferential statistics (ie You are able to tell stories from data and perform statistical tests)
