The team

Dialpad’s Product Engineering organization is responsible for building and maintaining the customer-facing features at scale across all of our cloud native products and services: Talk, Contact Center, Sales Dialer, Video Conferencing, and Voice Intelligence.

As an Engineering Manager, in this high impact role, you will lead, grow, and nurture the software engineering team(s) that own end-to-end customer experience by collaborating with other leaders at Dialpad. Our teams are growing too fast and globally distributed, and so we are looking for leaders who are awesome human beings, great communicators, excellent strategists, strong technologists, and dreamers!

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

  • You'll experience our comprehensive onboarding and learn about Dialpad's culture amp; values
  • Work closely with your mentor to set up your development environment and learn about our products and our software development processes, workflows and tools
  • Get to know the Product Engineering teams and your new direct reports including their career aspirations and identifying key development areas for your team 
  • Start building cross functional relationships with your engineering management peers as well as Product, Design amp; QA teams

In your first 6 months: 

  • You’ll have direct reports ranging from junior-level to highly experienced engineers, and will support their performance and career growth through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring
  • Define, prioritize and execute product development discussions and map functional requirements, product roadmaps to technical designs and project schedules
  • Evaluate architecture choices on an ongoing basis, in anticipation of increased scale and ever-evolving technology to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business needs
  • Work with geographically distributed  peer engineering managers to align engineering-wide priorities
  • Drive effective engineering processes and policies
  • Scale the team by recruiting candidates from diverse backgrounds

By 1 year: 

  • Build cohesive, high-functioning teams that thrive in a culture of trust, respect and inclusion
  • Balance autonomy with guidance by giving your team(s) the tools, context, confidence and motivation to make decisions effectively and independently

Who you are

Highly empathetic, collaborative, and with an ego-free approach to leadership, you are an experienced people manager who works highly collaboratively with stakeholders and domain experts across the company to design solutions to user problems. You don’t shy away from performance conversations, recognizing the relationship between constructive feedback and career growth. You’ll develop our current teams and hire additional engineers, empower them to have an owner mentality in their roles, and continually foster an environment for team members to feel psychologically safe to contribute ideas and interact with peers. 

  • 3+ years’ experience leading a high-performing team of engineers, including managing and shipping cross-functional or multi-team projects
  • Keen product sense and an exceptional track record for delivery, as well as a demonstrated background of innovation and/or influential impact
  • Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience architecting, designing and developing high quality customer facing software applications
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in solving large and complex technical challenges, with the ability to make decisions swiftly and thoughtfully
  • You love working on complicated software architectures of high concurrency and scale, preferably in SaaS and web environments

What you will achieve

In your first 30 days: 

You’ll work closely with your Director, Senior Manager, and the rest of the Professional Services team to learn about Dialpad as a company and also the Dialpad product offerings. You’ll start to network with teams you will be working closely with such as Sales, Customer Success, and Support You’ll work with the enablement team as they walk through your onboarding classes; these classes will be an introduction to the PM role and the Professional Services team. You will meet your team and start to learn the onboarding process, volume, and workflows. 

In your first 60 days: 

You will begin to mentor, guide, coach, and support your team. You’ll learn the Dialpad deployment methodology and the various tools you will be using to assist our customers during deployment. Begin to review processes and procedures. Start to find areas for improvement.

Your Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Office amp; Operations Assistant to join Dialpad. In this one-of-a-kind, hybrid position, you will help cultivate the best environment for our Argentina employees in the office, as well as work closely with our Engineering team to assist in events and projects. You will form relationships and partnerships with individuals across Dialpad to get the work done in an effective, efficient and fun way. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and a calm demeanor to handle a variety of responsibilities at once. If you have been in office management or operations before, that is a plus, but not necessary. Most of all, we want someone who is willing to learn with a positive outlook on their role and what they can bring to it.

What you’ll do

  • Office Operations
    • Act as our Buenos Aires office manager, with the requirement of being in-person 80% of the week.
    • Be the point of contact for guiding visitor experiences: coordinating transportation, meals, activities, and events when people are in town (from other offices). 
    • Coordinate with Dialers in order to grant them access to the office, both locally and with visitors from other offices. 
    • Book venues and food for office-level events, as well as provide support and/or guidance to teams that want to organize events.
    • Helping set up for global events, preparing the space (e.g., chairs/tables distribution) accordingly, as well as interacting with IT for AV needs. 
    • Coordinate lunch for people that attend the office, as well as basic provisions such as coffee and a basic assortment of snacks. Ensuring stock levels remain available.
    • Partner with our People team to welcome new hires on their first Monday, providing them with a basic orientation of the office, services and setting them up so they can attend their global onboarding remotely in a proper room and with their respective welcome kits.
    • Manage all Argentina swag by keeping tabs on the current stock of the items of various sizes, working with local vendors to ensure a consistent stock of swag, coordinating special event swag with remote leaders. 
    • Keeping our office stocked with basic elements such as office supplies (pens, post-its, batteries, etc) in order to support any teams that require these for things like onsites.
    • Keeping a basic set of inventory for things like MacBook chargers, and keeping tabs on a "loaner" mechanism for people that need these items, while also ensuring that they are returned at the end of the day and properly accounted for.
  • Engineering Operations 
    • Partner with Engineering’s Business Strategy amp; Operation manager to plan amp; execute Dialpad’s annual Hackathon.
    • Assist in larger event management of Quarterly Business Reviews, Launches, Manager Summits and various events within the R amp;D organization (Engineering, Product, Design). 
    • Collaborate with operations employees across EPD on projects and events. 
    • Help run quarterly Engineering All Hands and other Engineering-wide meetings/events. 
    • Keep Engineering documentation up to date. 
    • Manage swag requests and fulfillment. 
    • Manage Copilot onboarding and licenses. 
    • Assist in setting up Show amp; Tells for Engineering, Product and Design organizations, as well as Infrastructure Spheres. 
    • Calendar assistance for Engineering leaders. 
    • Work closely with the Engineering Productivity team. 
    • Work with Engineering Managers on various projects as needed.

Skills you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and written in English and Spanish. 
  • Ability to successfully work with multiple departments and have multiple cross-functional dependencies.
  • Optimize practices and processes to support the Buenos Aires office.
  • Be comfortable wearing many hats and able to work in an agile environment with changing priorities and critical deadlines, we move very fast!

Your role 

We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer with experience building powerful design systems and best in class experiences. The Senior Brand Designer will work with a cross disciplinary team to translate marketing, brand and conversion goals into beautifully crafted deliverables. Candidates should be proficient in Figma, Adobe CC, print design best practices and should have a solid understanding of how the internet works (HTML, CSS, JS).

  • Uphold the integrity of the Dialpad brand across various marketing and channel platforms. Drive the refinement of the Dialpad brand through the effective ideation and implementation of fresh digital and print campaigns that captivate audiences and bolster brand recognition, customer acquisition, and loyalty.
  • Take full ownership of design initiatives, overseeing them from inception to completion to produce innovative, compelling, and impactful creative content—from initial brainstorming and concept generation to final execution and launch.
  • Possess a keen eye for recognizing opportunities beyond the given task parameters. About the team
Dialpad’s Developer Platform team plays an essential role in supporting custom integrations, internal stakeholders, and 3rd party developers. This team collaborates closely with all internal product development teams, Dialpad customers, and strategic partners to constantly improve the developer ecosystem including APIs amp; services, automation, real-time data flows, embedded applications, integrations, tooling, documentation, and SDKs. 

Your role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Platform team, you’ll primarily own building and supporting reseller and partner APIs amp; services. You’ll work closely with engineering teammates, product leaders, business leaders, and external partner leaders and engineers to facilitate integrations and collaboration between multiple 3rd party systems. You’ll also help create general reseller and partner services that enable the developer platform to scale to support future stakeholders.

This is a high-impact role directly representing significant contributions to Dialpad’s revenues and is of particular strategic importance.

This position reports to our Senior Engineering Manager and has the opportunity to be based in our Buenos Aires Office, with preferred working hours overlapping as much as possible with PST/PDT.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain public APIs, real time streaming endpoints and services to enable Dialpad’s customers, partners amp; integrators to connect Dialpad with external systems and create customized automations and workflows
  • Combine backend services, data layers, and public interfaces to expand and support our growing developer ecosystem

Your role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small task force creating a proprietary neural semantic colloquial search engine used to power an AI and its applications. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to a full stack of features including the microservice architecture, the data model, the API frontend and the necessary data pipelines.

About the team

Dialpad’s Ai Engineering team works centrally alongside Data Science, Telephony, and Product Engineering teams to produce The Good Ai. First 3 Months

The billing engineering team builds scalable APIs and tooling to manage the full billing lifecycle for our customers. As a Software Engineer in the Billing team, you’ll own different components of our billing system. You’ll work closely with other engineers on the team to build scalable billing APIs.  You’ll also help create generic solutions and tools that improve our billing platform and help our support teams. About the role

As a Senior Pricing Strategy Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in defining and operationalizing the pricing and commercial go-to-market strategy for Dialpad’s entire portfolio of products. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance to drive alignment around our strategies, and own the ongoing refinement and optimization of those strategies to support short and long-term business objectives. As an individual contributor, you will work with teams across the organization to troubleshoot pricing inconsistencies and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead development of pricing and packaging strategies, incorporating willingness to pay, product strategy, competitive differentiation and financial analysis to ensure our pricing models maximize customer value and optimize revenue
  • Drive alignment and lead the operationalization of your strategies across Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance
  • Analyze sales, customer, product and financial data to identify opportunities, design and test those hypotheses, and foster a culture of fact-based decision making.
  • Partner with Product to understand product strategy and roadmap, supporting the product requirements process with market research and pricing and packaging considerations
  • Partner with Sales to understand sales motion, customer feedback, and value-based buying decisions to reduce friction in the sales process
  • Monitor and measure pricing strategies to evaluate growth, uncover friction, and refine strategies over time, identifying opportunities to improve current processes and infrastructure
  • Create and manage systems and processes that enable analytics of list, discounting, and “street” pricing trends, including the expected mix of direct and channel (sell-with and sell-through) sales.
  • Determine pricing in the company’s sell currencies, including policy for how these international prices are adjusted for local market dynamics and foreign exchange fluctuations.
  • Study potential price elasticity, including cross-price elasticity within the company’s product portfolio and vs. the company’s competitors.
  • Perform periodic deep analysis of competitive pricing and determine how to best optimize the company’s pricing programs to maximize street price and gross margin for Dialpad.
  • Develop strategies and agreement constructs that help us address customers’ unique requirements and win agreements at the right price and at scale.
  • Work with various cross-functional teams to assess, define, optimize and scale pricing opportunities for existing and new markets

 

Skills you'll bring

  • 10+ years of experience as a pricing leader at a cloud software company or top-tier consulting firm with a focus on pricing engagements.
  • Experience at a fast-growth, emerging cloud software company where you were responsible for creating and maintaining pricing optimization programs

  • Lead all post-sales activities for Dialpad’s customers through strong relationship-building, product knowledge, planning, and execution.

In This Role You Will 

 
  • Deploy and support our global production and corporate network including edge, backbone and data center infrastructure.
  • Work cross-functionally with project management, network engineering to generate implementation plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance (Remote and/or on-site) during deployment activities in our data centers and POPs.
  • Calculate and document equipment power/space requirements and consumption for multiple PoP sites. Work with Colocation Vendors, local Engineering, Facilities Operations, to meet these requirements.
  • Perform fault isolation and trouble resolution on network hardware, software, and circuits.
  • Schedule and perform network maintenance including repairs, upgrades, and migrations.

About the team

Dialpad’s Data Analysts bring together product expertise and advanced analytics skills to enable product teams to identify improvement opportunities that translate into new features and experiments.  In this role, you’ll combine research, data science, data storytelling and experimental design (i.e A/B Testing) to create product insights that contribute to the product team’s decision making process.

Dialpad’s Product Analytics team plays an essential role in increasing awareness of the product features and user behavior that correlate with product adoption, product stickiness and trial conversions. This team collaborates closely with data engineers, product managers, product engineers, product designers, business leaders and marketing to constantly evolve Dialpad’s products.

Your role

The Director of Analytics has a primary responsibility of leading the data analytics and data warehousing departments, overseeing all activities and ensuring alignment with the business’s vision and objectives. The Director of Analytics aligns and directs the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision strategies, objectives, and goals of business.

This is the most prominent role of the Director Analytics and in this position this person oversees and monitors all activities of the data analytics and data warehousing departments and personnel. The Director of Analytics provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business. The Director of Analytics leads the data analytics and data warehousing teams in research, development, and implementation of appropriate data systems (with best practices) that lead to improved business performance and achievement of overall business goals.

The Director of Analytics is also responsible for driving departmental culture and promoting data-driven decision-making, consumer-driven analytics, marketing, and investment planning across the business. The Director of Analytics additionally builds a profile of data and analytics by providing clear data and analytics stories and spreading them across the business. 

This position reports to our SVP, FP amp;A, Treasury, and Data  and has the opportunity to be based in our Buenos Aires or US Offices.

What you’ll do 

  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, direction, and support in their day-to-day activities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy to support the organization's business objectives.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including internal systems, third-party tools, and market research, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track and measure performance against these metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis, helping them make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in analytics tools and technologies, and evaluate their potential to improve our data analysis capabilities.
  • Drive data governance initiatives by establishing data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data security measures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimized to support efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualizations.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making within the organization, promoting the use of analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytics or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Ability to effectively deliver and present  impactful insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing analytics strategies in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of and implementation of data governance principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets and using statistical analysis techniques.
  • Certification in relevant analytics tools or methodologies is a plus.
  • Enjoy both team management and technical leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and planning prowess, with excellent attention to detail.
