New Chairman for National Accident Helpline Owner


Kettering, England, Dec, 2018 -- A new chairman has been announced at NAHL Group, the Kettering-headquartered company behind the National Accident Helpline brand.

Caroline Brown has been appointed to succeed the group's current non-executive chairman, Steve Halbert.

She will join the board with immediate effect and take up her new role on 30 January 2019 after a transitional period and will also chair the audit and nominations committees from that date.

Halbert, who notified the board earlier in the year of his intention to step down, has chaired the group for nine years and has been non-executive chairman both prior to and since the its IPO in May 2014.

Brown has more than 18 years' experience with public companies across the media, professional services and technology sectors, as well as in business transformation and corporate finance.

She has served as senior independent director and audit chair for several AIM businesses and currently holds non-executive directorships at Georgia Capital, Luceco, Earthport and Hydrodec Group.

Halbert said: "I've enjoyed working with the board and wider team at NAHL and helping to steer the group through its IPO in 2014.

"The business has continued to evolve and adapt to change, and I have no doubt that the management team will continue to identify opportunities to drive growth.

"I am pleased that the board has selected such a strong candidate in Caroline, who is well placed to chair the group."

Brown added: "I am delighted to be joining NAHL as we implement our new strategy and look forward to working with the Board and executive team.

"We have the opportunity to create sustainable value for all stakeholders as the group adapts its Personal Injury division to capture growth and I am looking forward to playing my part in this exciting next stage of NAHL's development."
