Ministry of Municipality Records Over 1.1 Million Online Transactions in 2021

Doha, Qatar, Feb 21, 2022 -- The Ministry of Municipality recorded over 1.1 million online transactions in 2021 through its electronic platforms, including website, Oun app, unified call centre and customer services centres.

The Ministry is offering hundreds of services and most of them are available online to citizens and expatriates, individuals and companies to save their time and effort. The most recently added online service is ‘camel ownership transfer’. Other new online services are waste disposal, reclaiming abandoned vehicles, Tawasol, agricultural research, farm reclamation permit, fish farming registration permit, portacabin and natural reserve and falcon registration.

The highest number 436,263 online transactions out of total 1,151,366 transactions were made through unified call centre and customer services centres of the Ministry last year, the Ministry has tweeted.

The website of the Ministry and Oun app shared 426,101 and 235,493 transactions respectively. The electronic devices for inspection made 47,778 transactions. However automated telephone service recorded 5,738 transactions.

The online services were provided by 8 sectors of the Ministry of Municipality. The Municipality Sector (municipal services) recorded the highest 646,101 online transactions, followed by real estate contract documentation of same sector, which recorded 120,921 transactions.

The agricultural and fishery affairs sector shared 117,101 transactions. The advertisement permit service of municipality sector made 48,520 transactions.

The electronic municipal inspection of health monitoring recorded 41,976 transactions.

The building permit complex made 36,668 online transactions. The committee for engineers registration and engineering consultancy firms shared 18,406 transactions. The urban development sector made 8,593 transactions.

The online municipality services include tree pruning request, pest control request, request for unclogging drainage system, sewage vehicle request, rain water removal and abandoned vehicles request.

The electronic environmental services include falcon registration serve, environmental sector services, radiation and chemical protection services, environmental volunteers, camp request, industrial inspection and pollution control, Qatar Construction Specification (QCS) and natural reserves.

The online agricultural services include agriculture sector services, agricultural consignment inspection fees, fish farming permit registration services, agricultural research services and farm reclamation permit registration services.
