Suicide Helplines have been Busier During the Pandemic, Says Sadag #contactcenterworld The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag) stated that they have received over 74 000 calls to their suicide helpline since January this year. Lifeline Durban has also noted an increase in similar calls, as well suicidal ideations during their online counselling sessions. Sadag operations director, Cassey Chambers, cites a combination of issues that contribute to suicidal tendencies.
