Mann chose the March 23 Matrydom Day for the launch of the helpline. This is the first major announcement made by Mann after he took over as Punjab Chief Minister yesterday. Earlier in the day, the first session of the 16th Vidhan Sabha started with Pro-tem Speaker Inderbir Singh Nijjar administering the oath as Member of the House to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
